I was lucky to meet a bartender who introduced me to Prairie Berry wine. The girlfriend and I chose to stop there and we were very happy with it. The service we got was fantastic and the wine was amazing. Before this trip, I had never liked wine. Now I love their wine in particular, to the point that I... More

This is one of two places I'll stop (or go out of my way to stop in) when I go to Hill City. The staff is very friendly, and owners take pride in keeping the place updated and stylish. Last time I was in I was bringing visitors through, and we had a nice lunch by the fireplace, with a... More

I had the avocado open face and it was so good that I remarked on it when buying my bottles of wine. The cashier warned me that they can't get ripe avocados in the winter so they stop serving it. But it was the next thing she said that captured my feeling. She said she almost cries when she's putting... More

Even though I don't drink alcohol, I had fun with my family here. They enjoyed doing the five free wine samplings before ordering lunch. The wine steward (sommelier?) who helped them seemed informative, thorough, organized, and very friendly. Great restaurant service from Tyler. From the word "winery" expected it to be slightly more upscale, but you'd be comfy in a... More

It was nice to visit the winery. You are greeted when you walk in the door. You go up to the counter and you will be served when there is an opening at the counter. The is priced reasonable for a private winery.

Prairie Berry winery is a must stop. The wines are unique with a large variety of flavors, few of which are grape! I must say my favorite was the Calamity Jane which was Concord grape based and delish! The Red A** is also quite good being 90% rhubarb and 10% raspberry. I also enjoyed several of the other blends, Lawrence... More
