We absolutely loved Prairie Berry Winery. We went on a whim after a trip to see Mount Rushmore. So glad we went! Had fantastic service at the wine tasting and at the restaurant. Lunch was superb. It was a very cold day, and we had some comfort food- grilled cheese. AMAZING grilled cheese. We've since tried to make the grilled... More

Stopped by at lunch time and was pleasantly surprised. The place is really more winery than restaurant ,but the lunch we had was quite good. There is a very informal atmosphere where you can do a little shopping, sample some wines and get something to eat. The prices were about average. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would... More

This is a great place to stop for lunch on the way to or from Mt. Rushmore. Right on the highway, the menu has a lot of variety, service is good and the food is delicious. They also have wine tasting where you can sample some of their wines.

Took my wife here for lunch we got a gift card from a coworker and took the drive out. My wife has not drank for ten years so she had water but I had a delicious red wine. Lunch was great and the staff was very helpful with wine selections. Great location and very clean restrooms.

We have talked about stopping here many times. I'm glad we finally did. We learned a lot about the wines and enjoyed some yummy samples.

Prices too high but the wine is entertaining. Staff does a great job and the atmosphere is great. Eating there is higher than most expensive restaurants but they do have good desserts. Sign up for their clubs if you plan on frequenting as it will save you money.

What a surprise to find a great place for lunch and a little wine tasting. We were warmed greeted by an employee as soon as we walked through the door. The building is very attractive with a large showroom with wine and other merchandise. The wine tasting was fun and provided a good variety of traditional wines plus some very... More

My husband and I went to South Dakota for our honeymoon. We stayed in Hill City for six days. In another city someone recommended we go to Prairie Berry Winery so we did. It was a great and friendly environment. The wine was phenomenal! We actually went back four times to get more wine for friends and family too. When... More

This is a must stop if you enjoy wine. We are never disappointed with our experience here. The wine tasting is fun, taking some home is even better. :) Food from their kitchen is also excellent and eating on the patio is fantastic!
