Great historic building in this small tourist town. The food was good and the price was average. No complaints.

We went here on the recommendation of the owner of a hotel we were staying at in Custer. We were very pleased with our dinner. Located on the trip of Hill City, it was easy to find. The food was delicious and quickly served. I had the buffalo-wrapped sirloin with cowboy beans and biscuit. Everything was good and the menu... More

Thought we would be having a great meal but turned out to be just average. Our steak sandwiches were well done and dry vs the medium we ordered. They had a limited dinner menu and you could not order a lot of the sandwiches. The service was good just wish the meal lived up to the reviews.

Food was good. The owner was friendly and made us feel right at home. Service was good. We would go back again if in the area. Good atmosphere for a family.

We ate at this restaurant based on the recommendation of the owner of the motel we were staying at. Reservations are highly recommended. The buffalo steak I had was delicious. They have a great selection in their menu and a great wine list. The decor is great and our waiter did a good job. We had a very pleasant dining experience... More

This restaurant has not lived up to the rave reviews from other Tripadvisor users. After ordering, we waited for 45+ minutes for our food! When it came, finally, the steaks were flavorless, dry, and overdone. My wife's steak was so overdone that she had to send it back and then canceled her order. Much of our food was cold or... More

Really interesting historical building. So clean you could eat off the floor! Took a personal interest in customers and the kitchen staff is superb!

We stopped here on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed! We had the Salmon sandwich and the Portabella sandwich and both were delicious! Price was average, cute place, and right in the middle of town. We were very glad we stopped here!

Desperados will always be my first choice for food while visiting the Black Hills. My family enjoyed good portions, well prepared food and friendly service in this restaurant. The buffalo burgers are prepared with fresh, high quality meat and are the best we’ve ever eaten. Dan, the owner, came over to talk with us and he explained the history of... More

I had read the good reviews on Tripadvisor before we left for the USA and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We ate there twice in 4 nights as we were so impressed with the friendly welcome from Dan, the owner. We did have to wait a short time for tables though - the first time meant we had... More
