Desperados

Food was very good, but it seemed like they were very short staffed, as it took quite awhile to get our meals.

We stopped in hoping we would at least just get a good meal but we were surprised with a delicious dinner and lovely service. We all tried the Chicken Fried Steak and the Chicken Fried Chicken. They were both delicious and very, very filling. We would go back again next time we are in Hill City.

Our family of 5 chose this restaurant because there aren't a ton of options in hill city and we thought it would be fun to eat in a cowboy themed place. I had looked at the menu online and saw nachos with lots of toppings and a few chicken sandwiches. However, apparently this place has been under new management since... More

We stopped in for lunch and had their gravy fries for an appetizer and then hot beef, pulled pork, a buffalo and a regular burger. Everything was really good and staff was very friendly! Would definitely come back!

Pretty much mediocre food. Nothing special. We all had burgers. They weren't bad, weren't great. They were expensive for the quality.

We arrived for dinner after a day of riding on the Mickelson Trail. The staff were friendly and our waitress personable. Varied menu and we tried several sandwiches, a bison burger, hamburger, and grilled chicken. All served with sweet potatoe fries or regular fries, which were actually the better of the two. Our wait time was normal and the food,... More

Cowboy decoration, like everywhere around park. Service was prompt and friendly, food delivery was slow but tasted good. We had large group ages 7-75. Fried pickles were good, not fan of chips (homemade), but I'm not a chip eater anyway. Dinner plates were moderate to large. We had full gambit of menu items from salads to steaks, to pork. All... Was greeted by a very friendly hostess and waitress. Menu easy to read and understand. My husband ordered chicken fried steak. large portion good gravy and fresh mashed potatoes! I enjoyed a Buffalo Burger with a side salad. Large salad and burger juicy and done just right. This is all situated in an old restored saloon. Family friendly.

Stopped in for lunch after reading others reviews. 2 kids & 2 adults. Best part of the lunch was the free bandanna the kids received with their kids menu meal. Overall experience --"sucked". Would not recommend. $52.00 for lunch of burgers (no alcohol) and one kid couldn't even finish burger it was so raw! Waitress was told of issue &... More

" Wild Wild West" atmosphere made dinner here enjoyable. Located on a corner in Hill City, it was a great place to enjoy a beer after traveling all day. We ordered ribs &they were "average" but we also feel ribs can be tricky--everyone does them differently) but we did enjoy everything else that came with our meal or we ordered.... More
