Tasty food and good service

We stopped here for lunch after driving the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. It was a late lunch, so we were very hungry. All 5 of us enjoyed our meal, and the décor of this place is lots of fun. My girls liked the weighted boot that goes up and down as the door opens and closes. After... read more

The salmon sandwich was soooo good. I highly recommend. My husband loved the pulled pork. Kids menu was the usual and so mac 'n cheese was devoured. Service was good. Very historic building was a plus.

Normally I don't rate restaurants but I felt like I needed to this time. We chose this restaurant primarily because they accept reservations. The staff is friendly and the place is clean however the food is below average. My husband's pork chop had no flavor and was so dry he couldn't eat all of it and 2 out of the... More

We had just been through Keystone and unable to find a place to eat/park since it was so busy. Decided to head into Hill City and find a place to eat. After walking around a little bit, we decided to try Desperados. It was a great choice! The staff there were some of the nicest I've ever had anywhere and... More

The dining room is very small so there was a 30 minute wait at 7pm. We left our name, went to a few shops across the street and when we returned our table was ready. Our order for a party of 3 consisted of Spaghetti topped with marinara sauce and meatballs - $12.99, 2 hamburgers with fries - $8.99 each,... More

Order the chili, which comes with the best cornbread ever. It's at the end of the main street, worth walking until you get there.

Decor is this place is worth the visit - so Montana! Recommend the Walleye, the Chef Salad and Tenderloin tips. Don't recommend the chili as the only hot sauce was Tabasco and it was way too mild (and had corn - not a fan of any chili than has corn). But the service was terrific - water glass was never... We ended up getting a booth and squeezing 6 of us in after a 30 minute wait, but the it was well worth it. We all ordered something a bit different, and there were no complaints and empty plates all around. So if you have a larger group, make sure to call again and make a reservation!

Very good Burgers & buffalo sandwich. Decor is perfect for the area. Wait staff is super friendly and helpful. My son tried buffalo for the first time and loved it. He is picky.

My wife and I were camping nearby and decided to eat out in the city. The staff were very attentive and friendly. My wife had the Walleye and I had the chicken fried steak. We were both very pleased with the portions as well as the quality and taste of the food. We also had their homemade chips with the... More
