We stayed in the brambles holiday home for 3 nights, on arrival we received a friendly greeting. We had arrived quite early but they let us in which was kind. Inside the holiday home it was well looked after and very clean it had all the amenities required to make it feel like home from home, and also had a... More

Yet another amazing meal. Every thing about this place is fantastic the food the portions and the price. Every thing home made delicious. It set in beautiful countryside with a loverly play area for children. I really don't know how they do it. Just can't fault any thing about this place. Can't wait to return as soon as we can.... We camped at this small site next to the pub, which was very good. We ate at the pub for two nights, plus Sunday lunch. And were very satisfied with every meal. The food was freshly cooked, well presented, served by pleasant staff in a good setting. We could not fault it. Sunday lunch was especially good - tender, well... More

I had heard good stories about this places, so had high expectations. My first disappointment was the absence of any real ale. They were going to put on Doombar later in the day, but it was unavailable at lunchtime. Why not a local beer ? There was a good selection of mains, I had steak and ale pie with new... More

We stayed at the The Castlefields camp site and ate twice there and both times the food was great value and of really good quality. The Staff were courteous and very friendly, the pub itself is set in a beautiful area and has a really great atmosphere. Cannot find a fault to comment on, we hope to visit again soon.

In the company of more than 20family members we thoroughly enjoyed a very good Sunday Lunch on 22 March2015. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived at the nominated 2pm time. It remained very busy until we left at approx. 5pm. Considering how busy the restaurant was we had very good service and the food in the view of... More
