We stopped in Deadwood on are way back to Custer from Devils Tower. First of all the town is really cute and they have reenactments throughout the day. This restaurant had really good food and was worth the stop. Would eat here again.

Loved this unique saloon setting. I made sure to have a shot of whiskey at the stand up bar. Great food at the upstairs restaurant.

Went in expecting a real mock up of the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok. What we got was a table full of kids, picked from the audience, who didn't do anything and a farce of a reenactment. They obviously didn't take it seriously, so it was a huge disappointment. Maybe they do it several times a day and are sick... More

Beer was cold and learning about Wild Bill was a bonus! We really enjoyed the portrayal of Bill. It was so much more than we expected.

Exactly what you would expect for a bar in Deadwood. Sawdust floors and cold beers. The reenactment is neat, if you like that sort of thing. If not, it is only a brief distraction from the cold draft beer.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best it was on a scale of 1-10 a 5. I believe we just had drinks and it was late afternoon. I was a bar tender in a tourist trap of a town and especially on down season we would interact with the customers. Either that trait is gone with time or we... More

The reenactment (with audience participation) takes place several time a day in the back of the saloon. The MC gives a little history of Wild Bill Hickok and plays his part in the short play. I wanted to get a drink while I was there but the bar was packed and the waitresses (doubling as dance hall girls in the... More

We came in about a half hour prior to show and only could find place at bar for all five of us to sit. We ordered food and then after that we saw a cocktail table open and we snagged it as it was very crowded at the bar. Bartender seemed less than pleased that we moved and I could... More

This is a neat bar. The food is good and the service was really good. They have typical bar food at an average prices. "Wild Bill" spends time here putting on reenactments.
