Great Burger!

Great burger, decent service and didn't wait too long. We stopped on a Saturday, at lunch, during bike week. I thought we had made a big mistake because of the large crowd but were pleasantly surprised at how organized they were. We had our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Can't wait to go... read more

This is a greasy spoon and a decent place to stop along the drives through the area. We were served promptly and she was friendly. It's a small spot and while we were there fairly empty so it seemed difficult to have a conversation. We were ready to get out of the car for a break and put some food... More

This is the Black Hills' answer to Matt's Bar in Minneapolis with burgers, fries, and wood paneled walls. Read the paper and enjoy your gluttony. Love it

Stopped in for a burger after a long bike ride. Wow! Best burger you will find in the Hills. We arrived at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Didn't have to wait long.

We had our fist experience with the Sugar Shack and it was excellent. The place was super busy and we had a little wait for a table but it was worth it. My wife and I had burgers and they were amazing and my kiddos had grill cheese and another burger. It is worth the trip from Rapid. Our server... More

This shack literally has the best burgers! If you're in the Black Hills area, you definitely need to take a trip here. 1/2 pound burgers that are so juicy and tender that they melt in your mouth! Not to mention they are piled high with toppings instead of most restaurants that just skimp out on them. It's a must place... More

My family really can't figure out why so many people love to eat here. Yes, the location is gorgeous, however, the good impressions stopped there. We moved to Rapid City and were told that the best burgers were here. They were nothing but frozen burger patties. We saw them taking the frozen patties out of the box and throwing them... More

Just OK sums it up, but a real "local" experience". Won't tell you not to go and that says a lot for me.

Good food. Slow service and dang it's expensive. .. it's just a burger. With that said I'll probably go again next visit

I don't know the secret recipe but have been told they add sugar to their beef before cooking it. I don't know if it's true but it is amazing!
