Hidden gem

I had honestly been by this place dozens of times and never knew it was there until it was suggested to us. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but the staff was very helpful and even let us sample a couple items. Food was absolutely outstanding. Now that I know it's here I will be back.

The owner is rude, inconsiderate and lacks professionalism. I'll save my money on a business that cares about their customers. I went to Spice Junction with my family of four. My brother is deathly allergic to peanuts and most of the items on the menu contain peanuts or are cooked in peanut oil. This is why we placed an order... More

I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because this used to be my favorite place in Columbia. They had the best Indian buffet and I used to go once a week or else I would get withdrawals. However, last summer they decided to change their buffet style layout to a confusing menu where you pick certain items and they... More

We too made a return trip only to find that the buffet had been eliminated. We stayed and enjoyed our dinner once we deciphered the menu. Very nice family that owns this operation and totally understand why they stopped the buffet. We truly enjoyed trying different dishes and this was the perfect location to do so.

This was our first time at Spice Junction. My wife and I have eaten at all the other Indian restaurants in the Columbia area, so we decided to try this one. First off, I have no complaint with the taste of the food. It was cooked well and just the right amount of heat and spice. The trouble was the... More

I reviewed this restaurant a couple years ago, and at the time I thought it was the best Indian in Columbia (despite some odd signs and policies about wasting food). Since then, first the prices went up, then the food got worse, and now the buffet has disappeared, replaced by an odd system that seems much more wasteful. Recently, I... More

I do not like the new format at all. The combinations are odd. I would rather pay more and eat what I would like to eat from the buffet.

Had enjoyed Spice Junction for several years but they no longer offer a self serve all you can eat buffet. Under the new business model, they serve you "combos" which limit your choices and there are no return trips to the buffet unless you pay another $9.99. No thanks. I'll go to Bombay Grill or Village of India and have... More

I would advise customers to search for other places to eat Indian food. I strongly recommend that you avoid this restaurant. The food was not how it should be and it was cross contaminated. My friend has gluten allergies so we asked what food choices on the menu would be suitable for her to eat. She ordered the Chana pindi... More

Cleanest indian restaurant i have ever been to. food is prepared very well. i would call this clean mild indian. very good but i tend to like wider scope of intense heat and flavor. they no longer have a buffet. the food is in the buffet but they serve it to you. that's a bit unusual. same price as the...
