Several times when I have been in Oconee County, I have eaten breakfast at Kountry Kupboard. You gotta like a restaurant that has for its motto: "Eat Here or We Both Starve." I had country ham, an egg, grits, biscuit and coffee. The coffee was in a larger-than-usual cup, which I appreciate, since I need/want coffee fast and in quantity... More

Excellent "meat and 3".....but get there early because several of their daily specials were already sold out.

Stopped in on a Sunday and found the place crowded, but they quickly found room for our party of ten. Everybody was very pleased with everything. My wife said her chicken tenders was the best she's ever had. I can say the same thing about my country fried steak. Service and prices was very good too. Planning another motorcycle ride... More

Good prices and good Kountry cooking... The parking lot was full at just past 11am....looked like a good sign for the food and was. We had the country steak with two veggie sides and the Mexican cornbread. Under $7. The sides are large. Service was fast and our waitress was friendly. We will be back on our next trip to... More

We have lunch at this family restaurant once a week. Dress is casual. There are always working men and women eating lunch as well as us retired folks. There Sunday dinner is more "dressy", but jeans and shorts are acceptable as well. It's a great place to eat, friendly waitresses, with the typical Southern fare. The menu does change daily... More

We stopped by on our way back to Atlanta in hopes of having a filling, southern lunch. S got the fried chicken (dark) with green beans, mac n cheese and spicy cornbread. B got to the meatloaf, mac n cheese and spiced apples. This is gonna sound crazy, but the spiced apples were the winner. I guess they don't use... More

This is a restaurant I looked forward to eating at due to the very favorable reviews I had read. Okay, here goes: The place is plain, with no atmosphere. The clientele are primarily locals. The staff are very friendly and helpful. No, the food is not as good as home cooking, but it isnt bad, either. I guess it depends... More
