We enjoyed having Carlos' Cuban Cafe in Tega Cay, and am sorry to report that they are no longer in business. We found their food quite good, if sometimes inconsistent (last time I have the picadillo, there were no olives, which is/has always been part of the dish when I've had it elsewhere and at Carlos'. When I commented about... More

I believe they left Fort Mill. Nicest owners in the world, but really, they just couldn't get it together. My friend had shrimp 'n grits, the go to food in the south, they messed it up so badly it was like soup.

I'm a S Florida girl so had to get my Cuban food fix so we went for dinner on a Friday evening around 7pm. To make a very long story short, they ran out of steak (what restaurant runs out of steak on a Friday night at 7pm?!?!?), messed up on my husband's order and the owner complained to "US"... More

Just stopped in for a quick dinner. The service (Alex) was excellent. She provided very good information to help us make the best selections. Everything was very tasty and exactly what we expected. Next week I'm going to bring my Cuban friends here to try it too! Sounds like they have live music on weekends too. That would be fun!

Ate at Carlos Cafe last night. I had the Pollo Asado and my wife had a pork dish. Both were excellent and had enough to take home for lunch today. It was a beautiful night and we sat outside where they had an excellent local musician. Owners are very gracious and nice people. We go to Carlos at least monthly... More

This place was great. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Very attentive staff, I also think that the owners may have been there during my visit. They too were very helpful and friendly. I had a fried beef platter, which was huge and delicious. It came with a combination of beans and rice that was cooked... More

Having lived in South &Central Florida for a long time, I am very happy to discover Carlos Cafe. Very authentic food, excellent and knowledgable service. Had the crispy pork shoulder and it was excellent. Crispy on the outside and fork tender, juicy on the inside. Definately a "Do Again". My only negative is they served margarine, instead of real butter,... More

We've been a few times now and really enjoyed the food. Very authentic, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. I admit Cuban food is not my top choice usually, but they are starting to convert me. Plenty of selection for the kids too, if they are more into burgers or chicken. We have also enjoye the live music on... More

This has quickly become our favorite restaurant near our home. Great for special occasions or anytime. Excellent plantains in two styles and every meal is customized for you with your own sides.
