I was impressed to see how much the folks at the Po Ho take pride there. The servers knew all the details about their food and drink specials. I had a salmon topped with a lemony sauce, and it was delicious. They definitely give you enough food to eat, and keep the refills coming. There was not a huge variety,... More

We've had two meals in a row that were very greasy. I used to love the crab cake sandwich, but this time it oozed grease. My wife had Cajun shrimp pasta that was lacking. It wasn't spicy and she had to spoon the grease off the top before she could eat it. The service and atmosphere are excellent. The beer... More

Seafood & southern dishes comparable to any you'll find in Charleston, Savannah or New Orleans. We are particular where we eat & take guests & the PO house is one of our favorites as well as of our guests & friends.

We went to eat as a large group and they were very accommodating. The service was fast and friendly. The seafood was delicious. It's nice to have a locally owned restaurant. Sumter is saturated with chain restaurants.

We tried the Alligator Cheesecake (a quishe, actually) - it was great! I had the Shrimp and Grits, with spicy sausage and ham. Absolutely wonderful! Two of my brothers split the boil for 2, and they could not finish it. Another had the fish tacos, and they were good as well. No complaints! The owners also operate J O'Grady's downtown,... More

Using Trip Advisor reviews, we took a chance and drove the extra miles off out traveled route to enjoy some low country cooking. So glad we did!! The fun atmosphere, pleasant staff, and amazing menu offered the diversity we were looking for. The four of us each ordered a different entree and finally settled on what of the hundred-something beer... More

We were hesitant to go to this restaurant because of the mixed reviews but decided to take a chance. So glad we did, the food and service were excellent. Had the alligator cheesecake for the appetizer which was really great but had we known how much food there was going to be would have probably skipped this. Had the ribeye... More

My husband and I experienced one of our worst dining experiences in many years. We ordered the steamed oysters as an appetizer and all but two were served with closed shells. The chef should have known to discard these as a person can become violently ill by eating oysters, clams and mussels that do not open. When we brought this... More

Great little place for gathering with friends to enjoy a good meal. Plenty of space to mingle outside and a good selection of unique casual dishes.

Visited 2 days in a row. Great beer list with a nice selection of knowns and unknowns. Great tilapia and awesome crab chips. Try the alligator cheesecake; didn't try myself but those in my party did and apparently it's amazing. Recommended among the limited options in Sumter
