Hamptons is a wonderful place to go for any occasion, but special occasions are more special at Hamptons. Small restaurant with limited seating and sometimes tight. THeir back alley for 4th Fridays is wonderful for a cup of coffee and dessert if you just want to stop by - desserts are HEAVENLY!

I would highly recommend this restaurant in Sumter. We ate here for a business luncheon and the service and atmosphere were perfect. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. Two of us ordered salmon and the other two ordered fish tacos. The food was scrumptous and all plates were cleaned. I suggest saving room for desert, I had a delicious... More

We had dinner at the Hampton's and the food is below average. The atmpshere is nice but the service is poor. The food was very greasy and cold. It is on the expensive side so make sure to take at least $100 for two. I would recommend driving to Columbia for an elegant meal.

We're relatively new to the area, and are exploring local dining options. My husband and I drove from Camden to Sumpter to try this restaurant for lunch today. Ambiance was great. Service also very good. While we enjoyed the food, and don't mind spending nearly $60 (no alcoholic beverages, but does include tip) for lunch, there were a few things... More

Love this place! Have been several times for business lunches and finally got to go for dinner. I have never had a bad meal there. Everything has always been so great. Always fresh, great flavor, never too heavy. Wonderful wine selection and the desert selection is unreal. Great service! And it's a beautiful place to top it off. You don't... More

My wife and I ate at the Hamptons for our anniversary. Seeing as there are few high end restaurants here in Sumter we decided to eat here. I ordered the steak while my wife ordered some pasta dish. I cannot speak on my wife's food as she just said it was "alright" but I thought the steak was good and... More

After cycling the Palmetto Trial for 2 days, we ended up in the Sumter area and decided to have a nice meal to celebrate the 80 miles we just did. I love to cook and eat. and am quite critical of restaurant food; it doesn't have to be fancy, just fresh and good, and Hamptons delivered. I ordered the duck,... More

We drove 45 minutes to get to Hamptons - and it was worth the drive again. My husband started with a well made Manhattan. We had the scallop appetizer. Then a nice bottle of Malbec with dinner - he had the tile fish and I had the butternut squash ravioli. Then we finished with the creme brûlée. Excellent overall. Probably... More

I have been to the Hamptons on many occasions and have found that your service is based upon your appearance and the servers. I suggestion would be a bag over your head, long sleeves, pants and gloves! This place used to be one of my favorite places and now it just reminds me of the days when "we" weren't allowed... More
