We drove 45 minutes to get to Hamptons - and it was worth the drive again. My husband started with a well made Manhattan. We had the scallop appetizer. Then a nice bottle of Malbec with dinner - he had the tile fish and I had the butternut squash ravioli. Then we finished with the creme brûlée. Excellent overall. Probably... More

I have been to the Hamptons on many occasions and have found that your service is based upon your appearance and the servers. I suggestion would be a bag over your head, long sleeves, pants and gloves! This place used to be one of my favorite places and now it just reminds me of the days when "we" weren't allowed... More

The food is excellent and the service is great too! It's on the expensive side, but well worth it. Definitely no other place in Sumter that compares. Also, they have the best sweet tea on the planet!

Excellent, but bring the checkbook. Try the pork chop with maple glazed greens. During the summer, the patio menu is really reasonable.

Just enjoyed one of our best meals and dining experiences at this diamond in the rough. Started at the bar with a well made Manhattan. Then moved to our table and enjoyed a wonderful meal with a bottle of wine. Finished with dessert and Cubano Espressos. The service was top notch. The food was flavorful. The atmosphere was classy. This... More

If this is the culinary highlight of Sumter then I don't know what to say. The service and food was very average. My oldest really enjoyed the braised pork tacos but my youngest and I did not finish our lunches since they were overly greasy.

Recommended by a gentleman at Shaw AFB. We were early, Food was fantastic. The flavors sang and danced. The crab cake was fabulous, and rest of the meal was close. Ranks with the best meals I have had anywhere.

Hamptons was a complete surprise! To be found in Sumter makes it a one of a kind gem. The food was amazinging and a true taste bud awakening!! The only reason for the review not being perfect is that the wait staff seemed young and unseasoned. My waitress seems to struggle with plate and glass placement and when she asked... More

I remember Sumter from visiting my Bible-thumping Free Will Baptist grandmother who lived there. So I never associated Sumter with good food and good cocktails. I was happily surprised when I ended up at Hamptons and found knock-out cocktails and top shelf food on a level that rivals Charleston and Savannah retaurants. (I heard that it was founded by a... Myself and two friends dined there. Our food was fabulous. My friend ordered a tuna dish that was out of this world. I eat out a lot and am accustomed to dining on terrific seafood in Charleston, SC. This was as good as anything I've had in Charleston. The service was very good too!
