So much to choose from!

I went back for a second visit this week after in initial trip there last year - The menu selection is by far the best I have seen in any restaurant in Spartanburg or Greenville. From Elk, to Quail, excellently prepared fish and of course the more traditional Austrian dishes. If you are hungry... read more

If you are looking to fork out some money for dinner, this is your place. Was going during the week to play trivia, but that fell apart, Then realized how much I was spending on food/drinks. Overpriced!

I have eaten here several times with family and friends and the food has always been great. Authentic European and German food cooked from scratch, a refreshing change from most restaurants in Spartanburg. The salads are fresh and wonderful. I have eaten their crab cakes, the Chicken Cordon Bleu is one of my favorites and I recently sampled the salmon... More

Gerhard's is where all the prominent, affluent members of the Spartanburg community socialize and dine. In response to other posts, Gerhard's is not a chain!!! If the staff sang happy birthday, more than one of the patrons would retire to their fainting chair. If you're looking for a happy birthday song and dance accompanied by a cheap meal, its quite... Parmesan Encrusted Cobia with Lobster Risotto...not much else to say. Outstanding! The house salad was very good, as well as the garden salad. AND...don't forget the brick-oven pizza. We got the Marghareta and, again, it was...let me find word here...yes...Outstanding!

I generally don't waste my time on negative reviews, but I will make an exception to this rule because of the horrendous service our birthday party of 8 experienced Saturday night, February 7, 2015. We have not decided if the problem was in the kitchen or with the server, but there obviously was a lack of management. This visit started... More

I visited for a business dinner not knowing exactly what to expect. Wow!, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the exciting choices on the menu! My party of six all had something different, and all were well pleased with there selection. I had the fillet, which was perfectly prepared and the crawfish appetizer was delicious. I will return on... More

Gerhard's Café is a great place to eat authentic German food! The ambience was warm and inviting, the wait staff were helpful and prompt, and the prices were spot on for the type of food offered. It is worth the trip to go and enjoy your special occasion at.
