The place is very interesting, it have a nice decoration. The service is very good, I had the scargots (perfect) and the Wild Boar which was better, my partner had the Elk and it was excelent. Great for casual or formal dinner.

I have been here 5 times over 3 years. Great pizza, salads, have had salmon...excellent! I have yet to try the German fare, but those with me have and they are always happy. If the weather is permitting choose outside seating. If not, sit in the extended bar/dining area. Always excellent food and service.

This is an upscale European style restaurant on Spartanburg's east side. If you want top notch gourmet food for a special occasion, or just some craft beer to top off the evening, this is a great place. While inside dining can be as formal as you wish, patio dining is a bit more casual - but with the same menu.... More

We enjoyed the atmosphere, very european. The food we had was excellent from the appetizers to dessert. We were here on a date night. The formal dining room was small and intimate which was perfect. They also have two bars as well on the other side of the restaurant. We would definitely return for a special occasion.

When in Spartanburg we always try to stop by Gergard's. I normally stay in the bar area for drinks and a meal. The atmosphere in the bar is excellent. The dining room is a little quite leaning toward "fine dining" and so we drift toward the more casual scene on the other side. It's a do not miss when we... More

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here is was Old world bar mixed with a sports bar. Also with an elegant dining room next to the bar. The bar are has many tables where we sat for dinner. Lots of seafood a little strange for an Austrian restaurant. But the good usual spatzel, kraut, sausage, risotto... good serve and the appetizers... More

It was our anniversary and we made reservations for Friday night in the formal dining room. The atmosphere is just right, very nice space. (The interior/millwork, etc., was made in Europe especially for this space and shipped over and installed on site). The wait staff was very lively and attentive, just well done. I had the "Thinly Sliced Milk Fed... More

Came back to Gerhard's Cafe for the first time after about 10 years. Nothing much has changed, even the menu pretty much looks the same. Elk Rouladen were somewhat on the dry side. Thinly sliced veal with mushroom gravy and Spätzle was very good. Only place in Spartanburg that has Weihenstephaner Weissbier on tap. Prices are above average...

This was our first visit to Gerhard's Cafe and it was great! We will definitely be back. I had the veal and my wife had the seafood fettuccine, and both were excellent choices. It's expensive, but worth every penny. The atmosphere was great as well. We sat outside and had a great time.

My trip there was by chance. I had a different place in mind but this was recommended as something "different". I was with a party of 4, so we gave it a try. Our hostess was Jaime and she was pleasant, courteous and patient - even checking more then once to see if the bar had the kind of drink... More
