One of the last great steak houses

I have been going to both Peddler steak houses (Greenville and Spartanburg) for many years and I would have to say that I prefer by far the Spartanburg location. Plenty of parking and very short wait times even at peak hours. The food has never disappointed, especially the Oysters Rockefeller. And... read more

Should have left when the host said "how are we tonight". Meat and salad bar kind of place we went in the 70's. I don't think there were prices on the menu. Food fair.

we stopped in for dinner Friday evening. No reservations, no problem, we were seated quickly. Our server stopped by, he had a good understanding of the dining experience and didn't want to rush us. We ordered a bottle of wine, nice simple wine list by the way, and a dozen oysters. Our wine came then the oysters, both good and... More

We had the most fantastic dinner at Peddler Steak House.... great food and fine wine. The waiter was absolutely spectacular... I think my friend was so impressed with his services, he tipped him $50.00.... This was the fine point of the entire weekend spent in Spartanburg... not one issue. Highly recommended. Was there on Sat, June 21, 2014... so this... More

We've been patronizing the Peddler in Spartanburg for years. We typically visit once or twice per year, to celebrate a special occasion or holiday. The location is easy to get to. Though parking can be a challenge at times, we usually can find a spot without parking illegally in an adjacent business' parking lot. Once inside, the décor is eclectic... More

The staff at Peddlers were friendly and gracious. The menu was filled with variety to meet everyone's tastes and needs, extensive salad bar, and the cutter came and cut your steak at your table prior to preparation.

I used to think that Chophouse '47 was good, and then I had the Peddler. Went there last night and had a mouth watering rib-eye steak and a wonderful potato.

I'm not a salad bar person, but this was a good salad bar, which lead me into great medium rare beef , filet and the largest baked potato I ever had! Not much room of anything else. Nice Steakhouse atmosphere, with old world collection of STUFF to check out

Steak and salad. Both done perfectly and a really good selection. Will definitely come back. Went with children but it would be good for a special occasion, or any occasion where you want meat.

I've been to the Peddler in Spartanburg twice now and both times were disappointing. The salad bar was not fresh - both times the lettuce was brown. The steak was just okay... for the cost, there are much better options.
