Can't take anything away from Anita's, but since moving back to Simpsonville last year, we discovered Papas and Beer and are hooked. Being able to walk there is a factor as well, but having been to Mexico a couple of times, P&B feels more authentic.

Very disappointed in the quality and service. Nothing authentic about the food and the price was too high for what we received. Will not be going back.

Anita's used to be our favorite restaurant when we lived in Simpsonville some 16 yrs ago. This is our first visit since then and sadly, Anita's has gone down hill. I ordered the fajitas and they were served to me cold (they weren't served in a hot skillet as most places do); the tomatoes were overripe; the re-fried beans had... More

The service was kind of slow and not that great. The food somewhat bland but they only use fresh ingredients. Very healthy but no seasoning. I don't think I will come back but I am glad that I tried it.

This food is bland and boring. Skip this place and try Papa's and Beer. Papa's is closed on Mondays. If it happens to be Monday and you're thinking "Anita's is open..." try El Tejano. El Tejano is cheap Mexican fast food but it's tasty.

Always a wonderful Mexican meal, and the chicken tamales are fantastic. Service is always good, and the prices are reasonable.

Small and quaint with good Mexican food. We went here after our first choice was found to be closed on Mondays. The grilled Veggie salad was very good and so was their chicken soup. The portions are good size.

We heard such mix reviews on this pace and thought we had to try it for ourself. We couldn't believe how terrible and bland the food was! How could you go wrong with Mexican? I've eaten at a variety of Mexican restaurants before but never left so disappointed! Service was fine, nice atmosphere but food had no flavor and very... More

Me and my family have been going to Anita's for over 25 years. It is always a favorite for their fresh salsa and the distinctive Tamarindo Chicken (#13). It is certainly not a combo #1 type Mexican place. I find the ingrediants to be fresher and the flavors to be better. Anita and her family run a great restaurant and... More

Unbelievable I think they use canned chicken in the tacos and salad. It was mushy. Nachos were soaked at the bottom because chicken was not even drained. Yowie. Never return. Should have walked out.
