The BEST "Food for the Soul " we have ever had! The fried chicken was hot, crisp, moist and beyond delicious. I had the cornbread, homemade, moist and wonderful. The mashed potatoes and gravy were as good as my mother ever made. My husband had the meatloaf with a side of mac and cheese and cabbage. We almost argued over his mac and cheese-it was so rich, creamy, and cheesy I wanted to eat all of it! The meatloaf was moist, tender, and full of flavor. Service was excellent and the cake we had for dessert was divine! This is a MUST stop for lunch and was locally rated "the best meat and 3 sides in the Upstate" and we believe it! This place will be a favorite of ours!

Service is lousy

I felt badly because whoever waited on us just sort of forgot us and we had to nag people to complete our experience.

Ate here on Sunday, March 1st. Had high hopes, but it failed miserably. A long wait for the food (and it was not crowded) and when we did get our food, two of the three were not what I had ordered. That with the fact that the country fried steak was actually fried mystery meat. The people were nice enough,... More

I had passed this place numerous times and finally decided to have lunch there. Although I've been disappointed with many of the meat and three restaurants I've tried in the past, I didn't expect this one to be much different. I was very pleasantly surprised with the selections on the menu and the quality of the food including freshness and... More

My family & I ate here earlier today. We have driven by many times & finally decided to try. The building itself is older which is fine. I ordered fried chicken & my husband had the country fried steak. My chicken was clearly cooked way before I ordered it, it was dried out & not fresh. The country fried steak... More

Located at the second space in the building at the corner of North Main and Curtis Street, it is far too easy to miss this little gem. Parking is either on the street on Curtis or in the spaces next to the bank. The food and the atmosphere are excellent. The meals consist of your typical meat and 3 southern... More

After reading some reviews, my son and I decided to give this place a try. At home and when we travel we love try restaurants, of all types. We enjoy a great steakhouse or a top notch diner, or a great pizza joint. So, here we go. We were greeted with friendly folks upon arrival and told to sit where... More

A family-run business, and the food is great, homemade Southern cooking. The restaurant is a smaller one, housed in a wonderful old restored building near the corner of E. Curtis/Main. Great ambiance, prices are really reasonable, and It's a meat & 3, so you will NOT go hungry! And you'll meet a wonderful family in the bargain - go and... More

Heard about this little place and how they provide food to anyone who doesn't even have the money. Had the chicken breast which was delicious and tender despite being fried hours before. Field peas were exceptional...great flavor and mixed with a few green beans. Also had the green beans which were good. Mashed potatoes were real not instant. Gravy was... More

We had catered The Fried Chicken and Broiled Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Beans and Corn from Zamorah”s in Simpsonville this was catered but in my opinion the Fried Chicken and Baked Chicken was very very dry like it was under a heat lamp for hours or all day before delivery the corn and green beans had to be from... We have eaten here twice now and each time the food was divine! They have a list of meats, sides, and desserts to select from and each meal comes with iced tea and cornbread or roll. The food is made right there in the kitchen, by the owners, and is some of the best we have ever eaten anywhere in... More
