Great comfort food after a long drive

Excellent food and service. Our waitress Callie (?) was great and was not put off that we had small children. After a long road trip, they were a little antsy but they soon were sated by the good food. Fried catfish and shrimp and grits a plus!

We had a very nice dinner at the Captains Quarters tonght, Mark was our waiter and he did an excellent job. We'll go back if we are ever in the area.

We've dined here every year for the last 4 on our way to and from Florida. I had a salmon mixed grill with shrimp and scallops. The hubby had fried shrimp. Both were super! A must stop in Santee. Mark, our server, was great!

The flounder was excellent. Has a nice home feeling, great service. Veggies were well prepared, great bread, a really good experience.

Eight of us from Ohio normally eat at this restaurant when we play golf in March each year in Santee. This year we were very disappointed. I got the special of prime rib and shrimp; the shrimp was fine the prime rib was tough, dry, and over-cooked. One other golfer complained that his fish was cold. The majority agreed that... More

We took our food to go, so I can not comment on the ambiance, but the food was excellent. I would suggest that you eat it there rather than take it to go. A bit pricey for the area.

There are not a lot of restaurants at this exit. You have fast food and expensive food but little in between. I took my food to go which was a mistake, as it was stone cold by the time I got to my hotel and the shrimp were soggy with the juice from the prime rib. The food, even so,... More

We were driving from Cape Coral to Toronto & after 9-1/2 hours in the car we were looking for a nice relaxing dinner to recoup from the drive. We made a reservation for 6:30 & were given our bill at exactly 7:04. We were RUSHED & RUSHED & RUSHED, it was obvious they only wanted to turn as many tables... More

We had dinner here on an overnight stop in Santee on our drive to Florida. Convenient to Route 95. Very nice decor and ambience. A charming place. Service was good. My shrimp and grits was very tasty but my husband's mahi mahi was only okay.

We stayed at a nearby motel and could easily walk to this terrific restaurant. We recommend reservations since everyone else had the same good luck in finding this place. The Shrimp scampi was fresh and delicious and the salads were like wise. it
