Third year in a row that we have stopped here on the way to Miami. The prime rib is of the highest quality and the catfish was delicious. Very clean restaurant and friendly Southern staff. Desserts were very good. Adjacent to hotel and golf course. Exit 98 off Rt. 95 provides easy access off/on to the Interstate. Smoking is permitted in... More

This is the sort of restaurant I remember going to when traveling with my parents 50 years ago! The food was outstanding, the decor was clean but retro and I loved it. A fresh, cold green salad comes with the meal and it was terrific. The three of us each had a different seafood entree which was fresh and light,... More

Why when there are plenty of tables for two would you be seated at the worst table in the restaurant? I saw the book and we were the only reservation for the next hour. I have never been bumped, had to duck busboys and felt like I might as well be eating in the kitchen in a #2 rated area... More

Stopped at a nearby hotel at 6 p.m. and asked about this location. Suggested we go right now to get in. Thus we did (2 of us) and first thing they asked if we had a reservation on a Weds. night. Signed in a sat in the small bar area and called in about 15 min. One of us ordered... More

It's hard to believe that this "fine" seafood restaurant is rated number ONE when tarter & seafood sauces are served in pre-measured little plastic containers! Salads are also accompanied with little packets of plastic wrapped soda biscuits and the baked potatoes come with plastic containers of sour cream! Nothing very classy there! I'll take Red Lobster any day over this... More

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The restaurant is high-class, but we were warmly welcomed in our long-road-trip neat but showing our tiredness clothes. Every bit of food was great, including the kid's meal. Catfish was impeccable--battered just right, not greasy. Excellent burgers (for seafood intolerant diners in our party). Do not skip desserts: warm pecan pie... More

I had the shrimp and grits while my wife had the fried oysters. Both were very good. The grits are very creamy and the shrimp wrapped in bacon before being grilled. The fried oysters are light with a mild taste.

What a pleasant surprise to find this nice restaurant in Santee. My husband had the prime rib & shrimp and I had the fried shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly and our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. We would definitely stop here for dinner again while driving on I-95. The prices were reasonable.

Had a ribeye steak and it was 1 of the 10 best steaks I ever had (and I've been eating steaks for 50 years). There is no higher recommendation I can give. However you really do need to book. We rang at 5.00pm to reserve for 6.30pm and our reservation was accepted. When we arrived people were being turned away... More

We stopped in Santee for overnight on the way back from Florida and ate here for dinner, even though I did not stay at the Best Western as many reviewers have. We stayed at the Hampion Inn across the street. I had crab stuffed grouper with shrimp & my friend had the prime rib- we both asked for an asparagus... More
