Reserve the screened-in gazebo and enjoy your meal outside. Nice selection of seafood items. For non-seafood eaters they offer burgers, dogs, corn dogs, etc. Very nice and accommodating for our group of 13.

I was very hopeful that the Shrimp Shack would be good. From their front stairs you can look across the road and see shrimp boats tied up at a dock. Let me start by saying that I love fried food and I have a high tolerance for grease, just not high enough. The shrimp on the platter that I received... More

I love locally owned, hole in the walls, so was excited to try this place. As we waited in line to order (lots of people there--I'm assuming it's really good), we saw the cook whip out a gigantic bag of frozen shrimp like you get at Costco and pour it into either water or a fryer. I was assuming they... More

stay away. it is a squallid hovel on the road that provides fried takeout food of dubious quality to a not cheap price. The crab cakes were not made of fresh crab, the devil's crabs were not made with crab but with surimi, the coca cola had an impressive amount of ice cubes, so many that you could not put... More

You have to eat at the shrimp shack just because its well known. The food is typical fried seafood, but it was nice to experience. They only except cash.

not sure why at 11:30 am they were out of broiled shrimp though. But the friend shrimp was great and the shrimp burger was addictive. It's a dive but that's the charm!

The Shrimp Shack is aptly named. It is very casual, it reminds me of a drive up ice cream place where you place your order through a window, except the menu is seafood, not ice cream. The eating (can't really call it dining) area is screened in tables, and in the hot, humid August this is better suited for locals... More

Been going every summer for years - fresh, delicious friend seafood at a good price. People are so nice too - make sure to bring cash!

Joined the midweek lunchtime rush & it is a simple place; basic menu with mostly fried seafood & some hot dogs/burgers/corn dogs, etc, order & wait for your name to be called. Nothing fancy but given the lack of options close by, obviously well frequented. The wait for the line was about 8 people deep which took 15 mins to... More
