I had the priviledge to visit this establishment while visiting my best friend in Beauford, SC. I completely enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent and friendly. I had the reuben sandwich and I loved it.

My sister, husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Beaufort from HHI. Agree with others that it is hard to find. We drove right by it and if we hadn't driven around the block would have never found it. Sister had crab cakes, husband had fish sandwich and I had the rubin. All of our meals... More

The title of this review pretty much sums it up - this sandwich is a roast beef lover's dream. I'm accustomed to the bread having more seeds and salt on it, but the bun at Moondoggies was quite good. The au jus was hot and not greasy and the horseradish packed just the right punch. The building is a quaint... More

I had the Carolina Cobb Salad. It was beautifully presented and looked very appetizing. However, and this is my fault, it was served on bitter greens, which I don't care for. Lesson learned - read the description more carefully in the future. Also, the honey mustard dressing was very thick and basically tasted like just mustard. If I ever have... More

Fried pickles (Boars' Head) are top notch. Had a tasty oyster po'boy. Soup was very good as was the Black Angus burger. But, a bit long wait for both a beer and everything else. Pickles apparently sat on the counter for a bit too as they were not hot when delivered.

Beautiful restaurant built into a large old house. The Fried Pickles appetizer was delicious - thinly sliced and light batter. We destroyed them quickly. Our sandwiches were both good - Roast Beef Weck and Reuben, both piled high with shaved meats. My only complaint was the size of the au jus - the container needs to be bigger beacuse the... More

I live in Port Royal and Moondoggies is my go-to place. The mahi salad is wonderful as is the shrimp and grits. My husband loves their steaks and burgers. Friendly service. Quaint atmosphere. A hidden gem.

Stopped by after USMC graduation and was greeted by the friendliest folks we encountered outside the MC family! Fantastic food in a family like setting. GOTTA TRY THE SWEET POTATO BREAD PUDDING!!! It was a great way to top off a tasty home cooked meal. U'al will love it!

consistantly good food and great service over the years. Definintely try the fried pickles! Tho it's been discovered, you can still get there and enjoy a meal, on off times.
