We happened upon 11th Street Dockside-Port Royal several years ago and it immediately became a go-to for us when in the Beaufort area. There is usually a wait, but not too bad. I recently only waited about 40 min at around 7:00pm. The view of the river and shrimp boats off of the dock is phenomenal! A great photo op... More

We just happened to find this place while checking out reviews for another restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 7pm and were seated immediately. Started with dozen raw oysters which were delicious. Hubby had the captain's platter and was extremely happy. Very lightly breaded and not all all greasy or heavy. I had the lobster tail&crab-stuffed shrimp and... More

My husband and I went there for a date night. Arrived about 7 p.m. and were told the wait would be approximately one hour. They suggested we go to the bar and order appetizers and drinks. We did this and I ordered the Oysters Rockerfella and husband ordered the fried green tomatoes. These were both suggested by friend and were... More

Our family spends a week every summer at Fripp Island. One night we go to dinner. The choices over the years have resulted in mixed experiences. After doing some specific research on Trip Advisor we decided to try out this location. With a group of 13 we keep our expectations low. We were really impressed at the service and food... More

Great little gem. Came here for dinner twice while we stayed down here to watch my cousin become a Marine.

Potato crusted grouper: the potato crust brought back pleasant memories of waffle or huddle house hashbrowns, vidalia onion coleslaw (that speaks for itself, you can't go wrong), and Bourbon street pecan pie, which I just finished and could easily eat another slice.

While visiting Hilton Head Island on vacation, our friends recommended we try DockSide in Port Royal. We took a day trip to Beaufort and decided to stop in Port Royal for dinner. We were not disappointed. We sat out on the enclosed porch overlooking the salt marshes and fishing boats. It was too early for sunset. My wife had the... More

Visited restaurant with friends while house hunting over Memorial Day weekend. Seated quickly and excellent food and service on the water. Everyone's meals were delicious and served hot, highlight was their Jalapeno Stuffed Shrimp Appetizer, should have gotten several orders of them and just had it as a meal... The sauce served with it was amazing.

Food is so, so and service poor...too much $$$$ for what you get. We've been going for years (at the insistence of friends) and the food has gone down-hill in the last 6 years.
