Great atmosphere and service and food. My husband is a 'Reuben' sandwich snob and they passed the test! Nice little gift area too.

The first time we ate here for dinner, a year ago, we were treated sub-par by our server (older male) and the owner. I somehow convinced my partner to return today for lunch and, as a younger couple, we were treated the same way by our server (older lady with red hair) from the beginning. We started off with two... Went to Moondoggies for the first time today, wish I had known about this restaurant sooner, we had an excellent meal, we started with the fried pickles and they are the best in the Beaufort area, 4 people in our group had the ribeye steak and it was very tender and tasty, the salad was fresh and was served on... Food is excellent. Try the crab cakes! Don't forget the fried pickles. The Service is so friendly, it is as if your dinning at a friend's home. We enjoy this restaurant and will continue to return.

What a delight to have such a perfect lunch at Moon Doggies Café & Grill in Port Royal. I had the "Hermie's Pan-fried Lump Crab Cakes" that came with house salad (make sure you get the house-made honey mustard - delicious!!), hush puppies (some of the best ever!), homemade remoulade sauce (best I've ever eaten), and asparagus spears (grilled perfectly).... Us and another couple vacationed in Hilton Head for a week and this was absolutely our best dinner of the week. We started out with the Fried Pickles which was excellent. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and was excellent. MoonDoggies is an old house converted to a restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff was very... More

Dinner special was Flounder Florentine and it was outstanding! Just the right amount of garnishes. Made room for the roasted pimiento and artichoke dip and homemade key lime pie for dessert. The acoustic guitarist gave it the perfect setting. Looking forward to many repeat performances..

It's hard to find quiet dining places these days, but MoonDoggies is one. I went with two friends who were obviously valued regulars, so the treatment was first class. But I have the feeling it would have been even if I had walked in alone. The building itself -- a restyled old house -- and its ambiance are the stars... More

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in the area. We visited this location on vacation with 2 other couples. Started with the fried pickles, the best I have ever tasted. The special soup of the day was shrimp jumbalaya. Asked for the recipe and was told is was her Mammy's recipe and she would roll over in her grave. It... More
