Local gem

Consistently good food - the tomato mozarella melt is yummy, as is the bagel, cream cheese and lox. A jewel for this area, fresh food, well prepared and serves and outstanding Sunday Brunch.

My friend and I walked to the Village Baker on a Tuesday morning. We'd hoped since they aren't open on Monday that the baked goods would be freshly baked. I ordered a blueberry scone and coffee. The coffee was good. The scone? I'm not sure when it was baked but there was no flavor, not even in the hardened sugar... More

Sunday brunch on a whim today. What a great whim! We will be back, loved the food, service, atmosphere, and did I mention the food? Oh, and the deserts... Personally, I chose a second plate of food over seconds in desert. That doesn't happen very often. #Please open one of these in Anderson. Until then, we will drive.

My wife and I had breakfast here on a Sat morning - chose it because of the high ranking on Trip Advisor. I selected the Skillet and my wife had two eggs over easy with bacon and home fries. The home fries are thick cut 2 bite size potatoes that are very tasty. The bacon was thick but a little... More

This venue has so much to offer. And they do it all well. On Sundays, they offer the best brunch in the area. Reasonaby priced with delicious breakfast and lunch choices. Daily they offer breakfast and lunch service. For lunch, there's a daily quiche and and large selection of creative sandwich and salad choices. Lastly, there's the bakery and coffee... More

ok…maybe I am bit judgmental…never have I been in such a small town and had such a treat for breakfast. Fresh pastries of all types..and a wonderful sit down breakfast. A huge hit with my daughter who I was visiting at Clemson University!

The food is everything you expect it to be and more. Fresh ingredients done fantastically well. We've been there for the brunch, visited the cafe, and to the bakery. We are always happy with the food and portions. THAT SAID you will be left with a sour taste in your mouth, not by the food but by certain members of... More

The food was excellent. The wait staff was so-so. The acoustics leave something to be desired. And I can't believe I was charged .25 for extra syrup....what more can I say.

What happened???? since the baker left everything has gone down hill the pastries look terrible and there is nothing in the cases to buy,the new owner should fix this but he has no clue about a bakery or anything else, he should be ashamed of the garbage that he is putting out, we need the Rizzos back, some people have... I choose my dessert first then proceeded to the restaurant and ordered a Monte Cristo with potato salad and sweet tea. Very, very good. Thankfully I sat away from others and could lick my fingers in private. Ha. I ended up taking three different types of cakes home. Italian Wedding, carrot cake and chocolate something. My wife and I shared... More
