Great Food

I recommend to stop at The Smokin Pig if you are around the place. I had a combo (Pork, Ribs and Brisket) with Cole Slaw and Sweet Potato Fries and everything was super!!!. But if you can not have all, I suggest the wet ribs.

It's tough to find brisket in the Carolinas where "BBQ" is almost always pork. You would figure it would be even tougher to find brisket at a place called "Smokin Pig"...but having eaten brisket all over the country, I can say that this was right up there with the best. I have heard BBQ experts say that the true test... More

This is the spot for BBQ if your anywhere near Clemson. Who knew. Great BBQ and yummy sides. And of course sweet tea. We ate at the open air patio part of restaurant, think I like better than inside.

My daughter sent me a pick and told me how good this place was that she and her college friends had went to. After passing it several times during her freshman year, I stopped by the Smokin Pig after packing up her freshman year load, before leaving Clemson and jumping back on I-85. As a first time customer, the food... More

I eat BBQ in every city I visit. This is one pf the top BBQ restaurants I've EVER eaten in. Service was good even at lunchtime. I had the Brisket and Pork. Brisket was moist and tender but not over done. Very difficult to do in a restaurant! Pork was moist, flavorful and just the right amount of bark. Only... More

This place is highly thought of around here and I have been three times now. Aside from the Brunswick stew, there is nothing in particular to write home about at The Smokin' Pig. A little too slow on the service and they are very proud of the BBQ - (read High Prices). You can do better in the Anderson/Seneca/Clemson area.

Yummmmeeee Pork BBQ with slaw. For heat combine the yellow and vinegar sauces. Sweet potato fries toooooo soggy. Fries okra on a different visit too salty for me! Love the smiling faces taking your order at the red carryout trailor!

We have not eaten in the restaurant, but have had take out several times and catered a dinner party. The pulled pork is excellent and there is a large variety of sides available. Every time I have stopped by for take out they are always busy. Only open Thursday - Saturday, the wait is well worth it! The food that... More

Even though there is always a wait- it is well worth it. Note: only open on thursday, Friday and Saturday. Brisket was unbelievably tender, ribs had meat falling off the bone. Sides of sweet potato fries, banana pudding, and grits were delicious.

Came to Clemson for a weekend with a bunch of guys. Went to this awesome BBQ joint for lunch. Had the most amazing brisket. It was moist and flavorful. The souses are amazing also. Had great sides of cheesy grits and banana pudding. They have amazing sweet potato fries in honey that are just like desert. I wish it was... More
