Our entire experience was great. Classic breakfast place. Great food, busy but pleasant waitresses, good prices. We loved the whole experience! Until we checked out.... The "teen" at the register was inattentive, rude, never said thank's or asked how the meal was. Given his comments to other staff, which were endless while the only thing he said to me was... More

The Litchfield Restaurant is a good old fashioned diner serving a fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff! There were 4 of us. One had a cheese and bacon omelet, one had a hot cake with sausage and one egg, one had eggs, biscuit and grits, and I had the "Crabby D" - which is eggs served on top of crab cakes on... More

This is a classic greasy spoon, and I mean that in the best possible Way. Cheap, good and plentiful, it has a great local feel and is a perfect slice of Americana.

great breakfast place. Coffee is good. Service is excellent. And the place is very cheap. I had biscuits and gravy, which was excellent, for under $4.00. Hard to beat at such a great price.

Visited one morning for breakfast. Thought the food was REALLY good. Grits were excellent. One of our friends had the crab cakes, which had too much breading, so you could not really taste the crab. So I could not recommend those. But the rest of us had breakfast, and everything else was great. Being from the north, I had to... More

It was authentic - I stopped for first time for breakfast. Warm greeting and fast service. Coffee above average in a big mug. Real food, real taste, real butter, real people, real nice, real grits. Not fancy - just the way I like it. It is the place where the locals eat.

Cannot say enough good things about Litchfield Restaurant for breakfast. The wait staff was friendly, provided excellent service, and did everything possible to make this an enjoyable experience. The breakfast menu is extensive and has just about everything you would want and more. Biscuits were great and the grits were the best we have ever had. The coffee was hot... More

I have been driving past this little restaurant for over a year and have always mused at the sign "voted best breakfast". Yesterday, a friend and I decided that it was time to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and coffee was served as soon as we found a table and sat down. The... More
