My bf are vacationing here on pawleys island. We were looking for a place open late since we were late for dinner. We picked bistro 217 because it was oPen until 10 we were pleasantly surprised as to how great everything was. From the different types of bread to the dessert of homemade ice cream. Absolutely one of the best... More

We stopped here for Happy Hour after an afternoon of shopping. This was our first time there and we were welcomed with an invitation to choose what area we wished to sit in. We chose to sit at the bar and immediately started conversation with the woman bartender. Drinks were served immediately as were the appetizers. I would highly recommend... More

I've eaten in fine restaurants in the US and around the world and have never had better food than at Bistro 217. Don't understand why it's only number 3 in Pawleys Island.

My first time at this restaurant food was amazing some of the best scallops I have ever had from the size and cooked to perfection. They had happy hour but you had to physically go up to the bar no biggie. After day at the beach it was a nice treat.

We were so pleased with the entire experience. Waitress excellent and the food perfectly prepared and presented. There were 4 in our group and we had a scallop dish, mahi mahi, grouper and one other that I have forgotten. We all agreed that we had no complaints about any part of the meal and we are a very picky group.

We took a chance on Bistro 217, and I am glad we did. It has an interior and exterior dining area - we ate on covered the porch area. The fans moved the air nicely and kept it cool. Except for being brought the wrong meal, the evening was very good. We had the almond crusted mahi-mahi and the seafood/fettuccine... More

We have our favorites in Pawleys and Murrells Inlet--Chive Blossom, Island Cafe, Dead Dog, Russell's, Frank's Outback--where we must go every year on our family vacation. This was our first time at Bistro 217, but we'll definitely be back! Our lunch party had the special Pad Thai, the Thai salad, the lump crab salad with fried green tomatoes, and the... More

When you go out to eat, it should be not just to eat, but to have an experience. To have a meal that you either can't or don't want to make for yourself, to have your mind blown. Every year we vacation in Pawley's Island, during that time we like to try new restaurants and typically don't revisit the same... More

We needed a night out with a great meal to relax from our busy schedule. Headed to the Birstro. We had Seared George’s Bank Scallops w/Spring pea risotto, lobster-carrot sauce, honey-glazed local baby carrots, Pear salad. Wonderful! We rarely have dessert but I have been looking for ‘real’ orange sherbet for several years. Their homemade sherbet was just like I... More

My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary at Bistro 217 and experience was phenomenal. The staff greeted us and had our table prepared with confetti. The experience was truly special and memorable. Chef Adam Kirby is incredible with his preparations and pairings. Having dined in some of the finest restaurants in Chicago, New York, and New Orleans, I... More
