This is a great place to eat. Food was very good. The seafood was a real treat! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had Betty as our waitress and she was excellent. The restaurant is a little older but it is very clean. We definitely will be back. I can see why this restaurant has been in existence... More

We don't normally eat a lot of fried foods but being on vacation we decided to have one meal of fried seafood. After reading reviews of other people we decided on Hoskins. It did not disappoint! It was fresh, fried perfectly and not at all greasy. We both had a large combo of shrimp, scallops and oysters and it was... More

My wife and I were in North Myrtle in the early part of August, and the lines at Hoskins were a real indication of some goodness being served up there. Because we had limited time then we ate at another place but vowed to go back there on our next trip down arriving Labor Day Night after the crowds. Eating... More

We tried Hoskins based on reviews, and we were not let down! The food is amazing, which is an anomaly for Myrtle Beach seafood. The waitstaff treated myself and my family exactly like the places at home where everybody knows us. My wife does not eat seafood, but had a great hamburger. Prices are awesome, as I got a large... The food is good but the restaurant itself needs some work. The carpeted areas are just plain nasty. The place just needs a good 'facelift'. Yes, I realize Hoskins has been an institution around here for a long time but it doesn't have to look like it, does it?!

Fresh seafood, large portions at reasonable prices. Lines can be long but move fast. My wife and I split the seafood platter and substituted the crab cake for double oysters. Wise choice as the oysters were delicious. Plenty for two. Also one trip to the salad bar which was quite good.

If you are looking for a romantic candlelight dinner with white table cloths and prices to match the ambiance -- this ain't it. However, if your mood is for down home cooking with friendly and prompt service, Hoskins is a great find. We had the small sizes of the entrees, and they were plenty! In particular we enjoyed the fried... More

The food was OK, but it is a little over rated for the long lines and OLD decor, a little dingy for my taste.

While staying at the beach I always look for true, fresh seafood - not flounder that is in the shape of a triangle coming off a frozen food truck. Well, I found it here! We arrived early (4:20) because we didn't know if there would be a wait and we found we did just the right thing. It opens at... More

We visited Hoskins last Tuesday and had an enjoyable time. There were nine of us in our party and we were seated promptly. I ordered a small flounder filet plate and the two filets were generous and tasty. I normally prefer grilled fish but most items on the menu are fried. My husband had fried chicken and was very pleased.... More
