While i usually prefer my fresh seafood broiled, grilled, or poached, you just can't miss the occasional freshly-fried seafood platter at Hoskins! Lightly battered and fried to a crisp yet delicate deliciousness, this fried fish is worth the calories and fat grams. I especially appreciate that the platter comes with a trip to their fresh salad bar-the salad bar contains... More

We prefer to go at lunch. Food is always good and plentiful. Family atmosphere and gives the appearance of a true locals place as long as you include many regulars who aren't true locals.

We're in North Myrtle Beach for Spring Break 2014 from Michigan. I read the reviews for several restaurants in the NMB. Hoskins came highly recommended. We arrived downtown NMB at about 4:10 PM, walked up to the restaurant and a sign said, "ReOpening at 4:30 PM. We walked downtown and by 4:50 were ready to eat. We were immediatly welcomed... More

We were in town for business and had dinner here based on recommendations from locals. I am not a huge fried food eater, but this place was excellent. I had the whole flounder. It was a super piece of fish. My co- worker had the mahi tacos, also excellent. They definitely pay attention to the quality of their fish. It... More

We were on a MYB outing but had to stop by Tanger Outlets for a quick purchase. Even though Hoskins was 8 miles away, I knew we had to go back and I am glad we did. Always good food and great service. Those ladies that wait on tables must walk 5 miles a day inside Hoskins. I had the... More

Have never been unhappy with a meal from Hoskins, the food is fantastic, the staff is family friendly, and the owners are just like family. What more can you say. We hate to see them close in the fall and can not wait for the spring opening. The Sunday lunches are great, I always take something home

We were looking for a non-chain home cooking-type meal, and found it here. My wife had the chicken salad bowl, and it was enough chicken salad to serve 2-3 people! She has lunch now for tomorrow.I was debating between the flounder and the BBQ. Debbie said they cook their own BBQ,and make their own vinegar-based sauce---both were really good. The real ace was... Had lunch there yesterday....the flounder dinner is excellent. There are also other good selections. There is a short wait, but it is well worth the wait. Once seated, the service is very good. It takes only a few minutes to get your food.
