Older restaurant with older patrons. I think the place is sixty plus years old with little change. Really could use more of an update than another coat of turquoise paint; Wood pattern Formica tables tops have been worn thru the top color layer. Service was enthusiastic and good. Key lime pie was excellent. You just have to want deep fried... More

We ate dinner here after reading reviews. The preparation of our seafood was terrific. Chose the seafood platter to try a variety of items. The shrimp and scallops were my favorite, but everything was great. The staff is very friendly. We went for an early dinner, expecting long lines. The place was full in less than half hour. Line was... More

I had heard about Hoskins being the best seafood restaurant in the North Myrtle Beach area - so my party went and checked it out on a Saturday afternoon in mid-September. We walked right in, and got seats right at the front windows - but noticed that immediately a line started forming outside. The whole time we were eating, there... More

We eat at Hoskins at least twice every time we visit. Tons of food for great prices. Everyone is so friendly. We order takeout too and they are quick. The pies are homemade everyday and delicious.

Some of the best fried shrimp I've had. Wish it were "calabash" sized shrimp but still the batter was perfect. Baked potato was good and salad bar was decent. There was a long line outside building but it went fairly quickly!

When a restaurant is popular, it's difficult to relax and enjoy your meal. Hoskins enjoys a fine reputation for its seafood and chicken and attracts a lot of customers, deservedly so. I don't know how their staff can remain welcoming, helpful and efficient day after day, but they do, and quite professionally. As for the food, the seafood is very... More

The food here is excellent and the service is just like home. I had the fried flounder and this was the best I have ever had.

I ordered the whole flounder plate at about $16 for the plate. It was really good. I thought at first that by ordering the whole fish it would contain more bones than the filet but the way that they cook the fish (cutting it in a cross hatched pattern you don't get any of the bones. This was delicious meal.

We came here for dinner after reading the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor. What a great find! After waiting outside in a brief line, we were seated by a friendly waitress. I ordered the fried shrimp, which came with a baked sweet potato, salad and hush puppies. Salad bar was nothing special and hush puppy basket was very skimpy, though... More

After reading the great reviews here we made a point to go for dinner tonight. (10/7/14) Glad that I read about the lines so we made a point to be early. They start serving dinner at 4:30. We arrived at 4:45 and the restaurant was half full already. The seafood here is wonderfully fresh and delicious. There is a small... More
