annual trip to cherry grove

We stopped by Platt's seafood on the way out of town to take home some seafood and asked for a recommendation for a good breakfast place. They said "The Shack" was very good. We agree! We got everything from a ham biscuit to waffles and chocolate chip pancakes and eggs and breakfast potatoes. Everything was excellent but the Coke but... More

The shack is a must visit place when in the Low Country. From the moment you walk in they greet you and are eager to serve you and provide top notch southern hospitality. The food is priced great and is absolutely incredible! We have a condo in Tidewater and frequent The Shack regularly!!

This is a quaint little local restaurant. Food was well prepared and tasty. I had fried flounder, shrimp and deviled crab. Flounder was very good and the shrimp we're excellent. Deviled crab was good. I had the regular size meal and was more than enough food. Left full had satisfied. Will return.

We've been here for both breakfast and dinner and we've never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and it's always packed for dinner. I've personally had the Shack Special for breakfast and it was really good for a great price. For dinner I've had the fish sandwich with fried flounder, which was also delicious. We go to... More

In family vacation and just landed in town hunting a bit of grub. Found this place and on a whim gave it a shot. It was honest cooking. Great tasting and ridiculously filling. Wonder if I should being the family back for breakfast!?!

Food was good and prices were low. The biscuits and home fries were quite good. We were served quickly and our food came out fast even though they were busy. We will go here again and try dinner. They have daily specials. No bar that we saw, so alcohol may not be available.

A stop here for fresh seafood in a local restaurant made a great end to our golf day! Friendly service (Nikki!) with a selection of delicious food. I would visit again!

A little out of the way from the beach, but worth the drive. Small local restaurant with great food and service. We will go here again when visiting.

This Shack will not disappoint. Have enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. Reminds you of a resort town lakeside restaurant in upper midwest. Better than the cookie cutter pancake houses strewn throughout Myrtle Beach area. Food great, especially scallop sandwiches and biscuits. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return..
