My first day at North Myrtle Beach. A staff member at my hotel recommended Captain Poo's for casual dining. The weather was delightful with a breeze. We decided to eat outside at the waters edge. I inquired about the catfish bites appetizer. The portion was large. The sauce left a lot to be desired. The bites were moist and lightly... More

It's really a watering hole and hang out. VERY casual, not really for young children. Good place to have a beer and watch the boats go by. Food is ok, nothing special. Very long wait (1 hour) for food on night we were there, because one of the cooks cut his finger and had to leave. So not a great... More

Ordered two rib eye steaks medium. They came more rare than medium. They tasted OK, not the best and not the worst I have ever had. Ordered bacon wrapped scallops. They were hard and only got 7 for $9.95. Bar is in a great location, they were playing music outside at the Tiki bar and they have picnic tables on... More

Great "beachy" atmosphere. Loved the steamed shrimp. Oysters.......meh, not so much! But we are oyster snobs, having grown up near the Chesapeake Bay. The oysters here are very, very small and not very tasty. Still, we love this place!

Great local home grown place. The house salad with Italian dressing is excellent. The fried shrimp is breaded to perfection. Hush puppies and fried pickles appetizer are something to come back for. The beer is cold and the staff is over friendly and the singer is outstanding. On the way out we got "a have a great night and get... More

Waited 35 minutes and had great expectations. They were not met. The staff was friendly and get a five, but no one at our table was pleased with our food. My fish had no flavor at all. The hamburger steak was something you would get in school. Being in the marina gives it some points for atmosphere.

If you want to make a meal of just nachos and chips, this is the restaurant for you. Ordered from the appetizer section and we got a huge portion for the 4 of us. Would highly recommend!

This place rocks during bike week. If you're tired of sitting around down on the south end, come hang out at Poo's. Good food, good music, lots of fun.

A local recommended Captain Poo's and we were not disappointed. I ordered crab legs and they were fresh and juicy and delicious! We sat at the bar and watched football while a guy played Jack Johnson and Jimmy Buffet stylus music on a guitar. Relaxed atmosphere. Worth the drive up the beach.

Wow-what a surprise! Grilled crab cakes were amazing! Almost all crab meat, grilled to perfection, generous serving. Shrimp was great, flounder too! Only drawback was outside seating in bar only! There were some very drunk obnoxious folks and we had children with us. This was Monday before 8:00. Yikes!
