We hit Myrtle once a year for golf and Umberto's is a must stop for dinner. Although I have a love / hate relationship with garlic, I must get the Garlic bread, the White bean and Garlic soup, and the Pasta Carbonara. This place is a must for Myrtle Beach trippers.

My family walked over to Umberto's after the Alabama Theater matinee. Had to wait a few minutes for the doors to open at 5:00 but it is always worth the wait. The service was impeccable. Whatever we needed, Stephan could arrange for. Ask for oil to go with the bread and you'll get oil AND roasted garlic! The piccata dishes... More

Took my family to Umberto's tonight and had a great meal. Excellent food, huge portions (maybe even too big) and a good atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We ate at Umbertos for dinner even though it is a Pittsburgh eatery as the Browns were in first place that week! I had chicken Antonio and my husband had veal parmigiana. Both were delicious and service was excellent. Lots of food including beans and pasta soup, tomato, cuke, and onions in Italian dressing, and pasta with marinara, plus bread... More

Excellent food, do not care for it's location but the service, food and indoor atmosphere is wonderful.

Umbertos is one of the places I enjoy everytime I go. The food and service is always the best. And the staff members are excellent. The portion sizes are huge so we just take half of it home and have dinner the next day.

Umberto's is in Myrtle Beach trying to emulate your typical NYC Italian restaurant along the lines of say Carmine's. So realistically, being down south, all it has to be is fair to midland to be successful. The service was excellent, admittedly the big portions are gimmicky as is the bean salad and tomato salad dishes brought out for the table... More

Do not go here UNLESS you are hungry! Once you are seated in a bright and clean dining room and have placed your entree order-the parade of food begins. First is a bowl of greens and beans with Italian bread, followed by a salad of tomatoes, garlic, cucumbers and onions in a delicious Italian vinaigrette. I had the eggplant and... More

The service here was good and the menu extensive. What we didn't realise and received no guidance on was the HUGE size of the portions. The starters were main meals in themselves. Add to this complementary salad and pasta dishes, there is simply no room for the main course! Two companions had pork chops which must have been four inches... More

We have not been to Umbertos in two years and will definitely not be going back. Do not know what has happened to this restaurant, but things have definitely changed. The selection of pasta dishes was minimal. Unfortunately, I tried one and wish I had not. It was not very good. The sauce and meatballs were tasteless. The service was... More
