Lunched there recently. For serious medical reasons, gluten is not adoption for me. Our waitress was well versed and worked with us. I opted for just a burger and fries which were well prepared. The staff grinds its beef fresh daily. Cheerful decor. Enjoyed.

We went here on the recommendation of our son who is stationed there in the Navy - this place is definitely off the beaten trail but worth the effort. The food is very good - we tried the shakes (they were good, but not great).

I saw a story about the best burgers in the USA on yahoo.com and this place was one of the restaurants mentioned. I suggested next time we were in charleston we should check it out. I'm glad we did as it certainly lived up to the hype. Loads of different burgers to choose from and lots of interesting beers as... More

Warning...lunch is crowded. Burger choices are outside the box...look at the menu. I really like the 3 slider option because it's impossible to pick just one type of burger. I got the steak fries...awesome. Others at my table got sweet potato fries and they were awesome too. Service was excellent, which is very impressive considering how busy they were.

The place is always packed but worth the wait. Burgers are excellent and the adult milkshakes are dee-vine. I had the hazelnut shake made with kahlua and chocolate vodka and ice cream. So smooth and cool, but filling. Be sure to take your appetite. Burgers are huge and with wonderful homemade sauces and sides.

We stopped here for lunch, seven adults and two kids (6 and 9).We've done this every year for the past 4-5 years on our way to Kiawah Island for family vacation. The lunch menu, (dinner may be the same menu) starts with some classic Southern and original appetizers and sides ( eg. pimento cheese dip, fried pickles) and a variety... More

Food was good, burgers, fries, homemade ketchup (not my favorite). I didn't care for the onion rings, but others did. We sat directly under a fan (which could not be turned down because "they're all on the same switch") which cooled our food down pretty quickly. It was VERY LOUD and the restaurant is fairly small

We stopped in for lunch at Sesame on our way to the Charleston airport. Not only was it super tasty, but also convenient to the airport (which does not have many "real" food options). We sat at the bar, and our waitress Daisy was very friendly and provided great advice on the menu. We loved the local beers we were... More

A classic southern burger joint with a very unique ketchup mix. The burger and sliders are fairly typical, but the food is quite delicious.

They have amazing burgers. We have gone the sliders route a couple of times because we couldn't pick just one. Try the pimento cheese or the basil options. People keep swearing by the non-burger entrees, but I can't pass the burger by. Nice beer selection too, plus some of the best onion rings you'll find at a restaurant. Be prepared... More
