Family's favorite place to eat

We eat here twice a month. I love this place. Great entertainment and good sushi! The glaze on the chicken is to die for. I would like for them to make the salad presentation a tad bit better. Some of the best hibachi Charleston has to offer!

I just went to Katsu (April 1, 2015) to grab some sushi with my boyfriend. Now, we normally get our sushi at Tsunami (downtown Charleston. They do an all-you-can-eat sushi special) or Fuji (at Northwoods Mall), but we weren't near either of these places. Okay -- we were sort of near Fuji, but Katsu was closer and we had gotten... More

We took our kids here for the first time for ones birthday and had so much fun. Our chef,"Buddah" was so funny and very interactive. You could tell he really loved.hia job and was passionate about it. He made sure to show us all the common tricks and even made cartoon characters for the kids. It was a little slow... More

Food was ok, the chefs presentation was a little entertaining but looking over at the other chefs, they did the same exact presentation, our server Sat us down gave us our drinks, took our orders and didn't see her throughout our meal until we were leaving and needed to go boxes..I just think they could have done a better job..

The staff is very nice and take good care of you. The tampura was nicely prepared, not outstanding. The salad left one disappointed - lettice only, but ginger dressing was good though watery. The soup was good. The rice, a large amount, was soaked in soy sauce, salt, salt, salt. The main course, steak, was floating in soy sauce, salt,... More

If you're a fan of Japanese Hibachi and huge portions of food, you will love it here. You get almost 1lb of rice with your email. If you've never been to a hibachi restaurant, it just means your meal is cooked right in front of you on a giant hot plate.

Went for my birthday. We were sat by ourselves in the back, this has never happened before, I thought it was Great. The server was prompt, the Chef was Excellent. We have eaten here several times. I do not think the menu changed with the name change. Nice show and Great Food.

This is right around the corner from us and we've been wanting to go for months! Four of us went to celebrate my birthday. I made reservations online (fantastic) and was sent a confirmation email. We could not be seated until everyone arrived so sat at bar and took advantage of happy hour with really cheap prices!! We shared a... More

We went here on Father's Day and had a great experience. We were initially told we would have a 10 minute wait, but it turned out to be about three minutes before we were seated. Our waiter could have been a bit more friendly (he was very serious and never smiled), but he gave us great service, so I can't... More

Another neighborhood favorite Katsu(formerly known as Yokoso) has reemerged with another delicious choice of Sushi or Hibachi style foods. Many of the same menu items are still available from Yokoso. Kampai!
