great food. wait staff knowledgeable about menu. I had beef burgundy and it was a large portion. I have also had the seared halibut also great and reasonable portion. great desserts. only complaint was quite expensive, which means I can't go as often as I would like.

I have only been to this place once and I don't plan on going back. First, our waiter pretty much forgot all about us and didn't refill our drinks, forgot half of our order and when the food did come (french toast) it was super cold and it tasted terrible. And I asked for crispy bacon and it could not... More

Honestly, in the last year, I haven't had a bad meal at Manuel's. Today I had the Chick Pea Crepe, vegetarian, loved it. And you can always count on fantastic dessert. I would rate it excellent but I think a lot of the other reviewers are correct and it is a little pricey. But, it's a nice treat.

I got the salmon salad. The salmon was undercooked and wasn't flavorful. I did get the mint lemonade which was delicious. My friend got the catfish sandwich, which he enjoyed. Sadly the bread was also disappointing. The atmosphere was very nice.

I want to like this restaurant. I really do. Hammonds Ferry is cute and a nice place to bring visitors and walk along the river. Manuel's is the only thing open on Sundays in the area so I want it to be good. Alas, we visited with out of town guests 2 weekends ago and were disappointed. The waiter acted... More

All desserts, breads, salad dressings and herbs are grown locally. Excellent menu with a wide variety of offerings. Outdoor seating with umbrellas also provide stand heaters and blankets for the cooler months. Have been many times. Always ready to return. Wait staff is awesome! Must try it!

The location is perfect for patio dining. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that we were there recently on a very cool evening, We were seated outside by one of those gas warmers. This would have been great if it worked. The table next to us had the same issue. They offered blankets but we passed.... More

Had lunch at Manuel's Bread Cafe a few days ago with a group of friends. So many lunch places have the same menu. Choices are sandwiches, soup, and salad. But Manuel had many surprising twist on the usual fare. They have a large variety of sandwiches. I got a Mister something, which is a sandwich dipped in egg and pan... More

The staff was so friendly and knew exactly what they were talking about as far as the food went. We had a nice red wine and duck breast, which was so good! Wish we would have tried dessert! It had a nice romantic atmosphere, and they did not rush us out and we were the last ones eating.

My friends and I love to eat here. There is lovely outside dining during warm weather and a cozy interior for cooler temps. Manuel's grows their own veg and bakes their own bread. Everything is good but I think the hamburgers are outstanding. Have a glass of wine and relax.
