Fresh ingredients, nice variety on the menu

We had five adults in our party and each ordered a different entree for lunch. Each menu item was thoughtfully prepared. The service was a bit slow, but we enjoyed the open kitchen and the decor while we waited. This is a cute, out-of-the way place that features some locally grown ingredients.

Food always delicious but the wait staff is a little strange. Many times inexperienced and snappy. Nice seating inside or outside.

Bottom line: Don't ruin great ingredients with nearly inedible seasoning, and if you are going to call yourself a bread cafe, please offer more than white bread with pre-packaged butter. We stopped in here on a Saturday night for dinner. The cafe is a cozy little establishment with an open kitchen. The tables are really close and with so many... More

If Manuel's were local to us, I know we would be regulars. Folks, look at the places currently rated better than Manuel's Bread Cafe. Seriously? If you'd prefer chain restaurants, go for it, but don't berate Manuel's for not serving that kind of food or having that kind of pricing. In the three days we spent in North Augusta, we've... More

Such a pleasant place. We ate outdoors and the service was friendly and very competent. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambiance of the neighborhood.

We loved being able to eat outside and people-watch. Easy access and great meal. But save room (better make that two rooms!) for dessert!

As a professional chef, I rarely review anything. But, with the price and hype of this restaurant, let me say this. Our server tonight was nice, but it took 15 minutes to find a beer/wine list. When she brought bread, it was 3 slices of very stale and very bad white bread. And, butter was Sysco or US Food's tinfoil... More

Was there the week of The Masters. Located in a great little community but priced more for Beverly Hills. Entrees were limited and not worthy of the price tags. Medium sized portions and average tastes. Expected more. Bread should have been all over our table(since its a bakery) but only 1slice per person was presented. Pork chop was fatty and... More

Chef Manuel Verney-Carron is the son in law of the chef of the classic resutrant and now Tapas Bar, La Masion on Telfir. Manual Bread Cafe has won awards for best outdoor dining in Augusta. Okay technically its across the river in North Augusta, South Carolina- but dont let that dissway you. its only a 15 minute max cab ride... More

Manuel's was a good experience, I was impressed with their selection on the menu. I had a massive conundrum on 5 different dishes to choose from. I got the chicken sandwich, which looking back I don't know what I was thinking, but it was good. While it was busy it has a wonderful atmosphere. The kitchen messed up our order... More
