Excellent menu

Manuel's was a good experience, I was impressed with their selection on the menu. I had a massive conundrum on 5 different dishes to choose from. I got the chicken sandwich, which looking back I don't know what I was thinking, but it was good. While it was busy it has a wonderful atmosphere. The... read more

Was there the week of The Masters. Located in a great little community but priced more for Beverly Hills. Entrees were limited and not worthy of the price tags. Medium sized portions and average tastes. Expected more. Bread should have been all over our table(since its a bakery) but only 1slice per person was presented. Pork chop was fatty and... More

Chef Manuel Verney-Carron is the son in law of the chef of the classic resutrant and now Tapas Bar, La Masion on Telfir. Manual Bread Cafe has won awards for best outdoor dining in Augusta. Okay technically its across the river in North Augusta, South Carolina- but dont let that dissway you. its only a 15 minute max cab ride... More

This was our first trip the Manuel’s Bread Cafe in Hammonds Ferry (North Augusta, SC) for dinner. We had heard great things about the restaurant (both service and food), so we were really excited about our visit. There were six (6) of us in the group with each of us ordering one of their specials for the evening. Bottom-line, the... More

It was my wife and my first visit to Manuel's. Being Valentines day they were packed. Once we were seated the server was attentive and very helpful with recommendations. The veal and the duck were cooked to perfection. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Would love to come back on a spring day and sit outside and eat. Highly recommended... More

The gold standard at this price point is across the river in Augusta, 10 minutes away, and Manuel's fails miserably in comparison. Some dishes were OK but not great. The Duck Nachos (Sparse topping and little duck), onion soup (cool and chewy onions), Caesar salad (sparse dressing), were very disappointing. The veal dish was a little dried out. It is... More

I always get the French Greek salad add grilled chicken and it is great but it is way over priced for a salad. The service is ok and the servers are nice enough. There are some dishes I have had there that I hated and thought I would never go back but my family really likes it and I love... More

The food was average at best and overpriced to help drag down the rating. The location is great - probably the best attribute. The customer service is hit or miss. I've actually left the restaurant after sitting for over 20 minutes without ever even getting to place an order. Other times I've received great customer service.

This is a great find. It is in a nice neighborhood in North Augusta. If the weather is nice, snag an outdoor table. I love the filet here and always ask for the au gratin potatoes they are to die for. Have a good wine and beer selection. The deserts are really good as well. All in all a solid... More
