Real Mexican food is a feast for the senses. From colorful peppers to the sounds of sizzling fajitas all the way to that incredible flavor. Each mouthful is just as much a result of the freshest ingredients as it is a result of the chef's expertise. Abuelo's offers diners the opportunity to experience real Mexican food, combining authentic, made from scratch classic dishes with the rich, subtle flavors of coastal and interior Mexican cuisine. Our executive Chef Luis Sanchez has spent decades perfecting our menu, and we boast a wide selection of wood-grilled fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, chile rellenos or Abuelo's unique House Specialties (depending on your location). To compliment your meal, our expert bartenders are masters at crafting signature favorites, including a wide variety of margaritas and swirls. Whatever the occasion, we'll stop at nothing to make your time at Abuelo's a memorable dining experience.

Mexican flair in a courtyard

Abuelo's has a Mexican flair for atmosphere in an simulated outdoor courtyard under the blue sky. The service was great. She offered us helpful suggestions on the menu. After a dismal experience and bad stomachs, we read in a Myrtle Beach news website about bad inspection results. Food handlers using their bare hands to handle food...food kept at improper temps...a fryer that was repaired with tape...no wonder we got ill. Sorry Abuelos, but poor scores by inspectors has sealed your fate. I won't be back and hope there's... More

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! It has wall murals, floor to ceiling columns, fabulous vases, etc. It is breathtaking! The food is delicious! Be aware that the entrees are huge and can definitely feed 2 people, so I would advise sharing a dish with your date! The service was great and overall, it was awesome!

I have been there twice. Good mexican food. This place is always one of our places to eat while we are in Myrtle Beach. I recommend this place. You might have to wait a little long for a table. Service is average.

Proud to be a go-to spot of yours, Craig! The service should always be as impressive as the food, and we know we can take things up a notch in the future. We're all looking forward to welcoming you back the next time you're in Myrtle Beach. Best, Candido N, GM More

Looking for something different to eat. Not your local Mexican joint. They don't serve your combo burritos and local fare. This is a upper scale tex mex/Mexican dinner. I must say pleasantly surprised, kids loved there meal. 5yr ordered cheese quesadilla and 8yr ordered a chicken smothered burrito, they ate everything which was amazing in its self. I ordered the... Love this place. We have sampled almost everything on the menu - we visit regularly. Never disappoints. Service is great. Best bartenders anywhere - Jason, Trish and Nate. Killer Sangria Swirl - imagine a frozen sangria swirled with frozen margarita - a quite satisfying summer sip! Killer avocado cream dip and the bacon-wrapped shrimp - OMG! Beautiful deceptive decor in... More

Abuelo's might have some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten and the service was excellent. Our waitress was extremely busy but she stayed friendly and attentive to us throughout the entire meal. At most Mexican restaurants that I've been to they bring out chips and salsa. Abuelo's brings out three different kinds of salsa, which may not... More

Ordered an appetizer that never came, had to ask twice for drink/nacho refills. When the food did come out, it was amazing and even though we were stuffed.. We wanted more. Delicious! I'd go again, they may have just had an off night on the service end.
