Mexican-style food at its best... Fantastico!

This was an incredible first-time visit for me and my family. I typically do not eat in Mexican-style restaurants at tourist locations because they generally do not satisfy my taste buds and don't seem to serve good quality food. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated immediately. There was some delay in our food and other tables were getting their food before us even though they were seated after us. I know it was not our servers fault but not sure what the hold up was.

The atmosphere is nice and different for a Mexican restaurant. The menu has a large variety, something for anyone. There is also a nice children's menu. The plates are large portions for a good price. Two of us shared the Monterey plate which was a ton of food. We couldn't finish the whole plate. It was very good though. We... More

We had dinner there and we were very pleased. The salsas and chips were fresh and tasty. Our drinks were cold and refreshing, especially the sangria swirl. The entrées were spot on, I can highly recommend the marinated steak fajitas. Any time we go to Myrtle Beach we will be going to Aubelo's

Fajitas are always a good idea, aren't they, Patricia? The sangria swirl is a big favorite around here, so we're excited to see you were really enjoying yours. We're looking forward to serving up another one for you sometime soon! Best, Candido N, GM More

Enjoyed the several types of salsas. Loved the décor inside complete with statue and sky-painted ceilings. The chicken enchiladas were enjoyable. Service was prompt.

We were welcomed at the door and seated immediately by a smiling hostess. Our server, Rick, pointed out that everything on the menu was available since it was lunch. He took our drink order, promptly delivered it and we placed our choice from the lunch menu. We selected Fajitas--one chicken, one steak. While our order was being prepared we were... More

Husband and I came by for our first visit around 2pm. The lunch soup and salad for $8.95 was calling our name. The trio of salsa served with the chips were each delicious and the shrimp chowder was so creamy and good! The salad consisted of a bed of lettuce, choice of shredded chicken or beef, cheese, guac, and tomatoes.... More

I just recently ate here and have been here twice before. Previously the food was quite good and tasty. Having lived in California most of my life, it doesn't come close to authentic Mexican food, but I thought it quite good. My last meal was atrocious and really unacceptable. I ordered a quesadilla and the waitress mistakenly brought me the... More

The food should always be on par with the service, Cathy -- no questions asked. The quality of our fresh ingredients is something we really pride ourselves on, so I'm sure you can imagine how surprising it is to hear about the chicken in your first quesadilla. We certainly want you loving every bite of your meals here and I... More

Abuelo's has great decor, the restaurant is nicely decorated - definitely a notch above your average family Mexican restaurant. For starters when seated - come the chips with three kinds of salsa. The menu is vast with choices for Tapas and Small Bites, Appetizers and Dips, Signature Drinks, Salads and Soups, Traditional Tex Mex, House Specialties, Fajitas, Lunch Specials, Children’s... More

Starting off with a round of mojitos is always a good idea! We're pretty partial to the Los Mejores de la Casa ourselves, so it's great to hear it was the standout favorite for you. Really, we couldn't be happier that you enjoyed everything you had so much -- that's wonderful. Looking forward to seeing what you try next time.... More
