When living in Germany in the 60's, my landlady ran a Gasthaus below us and made the best breaded and fried veal cutlet you could imagine. I have been looking in the States for a Wienersnitzel that tasted the same. Well, Café Old Vienna served the best Wienersnitzel EVER!!!! Make sure youhave a reservation if you are going for dinner.... More

Wow - who would have thought you could find authentic German food in a small strip mall in Myrtle Beach SC? Not me, but since TripAdvisor patrons rated it as #1 in town I had to give it a try. Word of warning to everyone - we went off season and reservations were required because Cafe Old Vienna is small... More

My wife and I ate here for the first time and it was delightful. The staff is extremely friendly and customer focused, and the food is superb. This is a small place that is a bit hard to find but it is worth it. We arrived without reservations on a Tuesday at 5:20 PM and they were booked solid. They... More

We ate here for the first time in June and made sure we came back on our September vacation. The food and service is excellent. The restaurant is very small which is part of it's charm. We didn't have reservations in June and were lucky to get a table so we made sure to make reservations this time. We had... More

Party of four loved this place!! We have visited Germany and Austria, and the food was excellent!!! Assuming the" hostess" is owner, great!!! Wine list small, bet very consistent with the menu. Great beer menu. Make sure you get a reservation, even in off season!!!!! Only seats about 50 people. Get the soup, no matter what kind!!!!! Butternut squash was... More

We went for lunch and actually had to wait for a table and for good reason! The food was absolutely delicious. We had pork schnitzel and wiener schnitzel along with red cabbage and spaetzel with gravy on one plate and home fries and sautéed vegetables on the other. DELICIOUS! Tastes better than what my Tante Grete and Grandma made! The... More

Visited for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We were greeted by the very friendly owner and were sat outside as the cafe is very small and only holds about 20 people. Because of this they ask for people to make dinner reservations. The menu was very authentic and extensive, with gluten free options available upon request. The portions were very... More

I always get the schnitzel sandwich for lunch at Cafe Old Vienna. It is so delicious and big enough for me to take half home. I love the Cafe as it brings back memories of my trip to Vienna and I make a point to get here at least once during my visit to Surfside Beach each year..

This restaurant was awesome. Reservations are recommended. It is very cozy and service is efficient. The schnitzels were delicious, I had pork. Just like mama used to make. I have never had scnitzel before but it is thinly pounded meat breaded and fried served with cranberries and lemon. The sides were equally delicious, sauerkraut being my favorite. The apple strudel... More
