Reminds you of a big city steakhouse with the large open space; not particularly romantic but white linens and attentive waiters. Steaks (and prices) are in line with Ruths Chris, Morton's, Manny's, etc. The service is what sets it apart and you feel like you are eating in NYC... surrounded with people in T Shirts and shorts (after all, it... New York Prime is a hidden gem in downtown Myrtle Beach. As frequent guests of many high-end steakhouses, this dining experience was exceptional and stands above the rest. The food was impeccable and delicious, but it was the service that left the biggest impression. Our server Jesse was outstanding. He was knowledgable, gracious, funny, attentive, and truly made our night... More

From the moment our party arrived we received excellent service. Timing was spaced perfectly. Server not intrusive but immediately would appear when needed. The menu is a beef lovers dream come true. Steak cooked to the exact requested temp and flavor was out of this world. I find it unfortunate the reviews that mention the charred taste. The disclaimer is... More

We loved everything about this restaurant. It was pricy, but well worth every penny. Spectacular service, awesome food and atmosphere were all top notch.

Best steak in Myrtle Beach. I would rank New York Prime far above Ruth's Chris. Better ambiance and service. You feel absolutely spoiled after dining here. The food is always prepared to perfection and you will not leave hungry. Call ahead for reservations. We like to ask for a table near the door so we can people watch. You will... More

Steak at New York Prime spoils you for steak at any other restaurant. A little pricy, but definitely worth a special dinner.

I've lived in Myrtle Beach for several years, and had never tried New York Prime. So to celebrate a special event in our lives recently, we decided to treat ourselves and try it. I've been to other 'Prime' restaurants, so I pretty much knew what to expect, and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is fairly small, which adds to the... More

We enjoyed our dinner. My husband and I shared a porterhouse and my 14 year old ordered chop steak. We also ordered sides and shrimp cocktail. Dinner was as expected, yummy.

We always have dinner with several friends while at an annual conference in Myrtle Beach. We have never had a bad experience or a bad meal. My wife and I dined here alone the first night in town and again with our group of friends on another night. Service is first class and just attentive enough to not be "pesky."... More

To place is very expensive which we fully expected. We dine a truth cris, shulas, and a variety of other top notch steak houses so fully prepared for the cost, that being said you expect perfection which the service was perfect. The sides were great everything spot on. My only issue is the char they put on the steaks. Our... More

Thank you for choosing to dine at NY Prime. I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the Pittsburgh-style broiling method. It does add caramelization on the steaks for a little extra flavor. We know this method is not for everyone so we have a disclaimer on our menu explaining it. There is also an option to cook the steaks without... More
