The wait staff provide outstanding service!! We had Carpaccio for the first time ever and it was delicious. The steaks were prepared exactly how we ordered. The Cheesy Mashed Potatoes were awesome. The Onion Rings were lightly breaded and very good. If you are celebrating a special occasion let them know when making reservations and they will give it a... More

This is the second year in a row that we went to New York Prime on New Year's Eve. This is always a wonderful restaurant, but it is even better on New Year's Eve. They have hundreds of helium filled balloons throughout the restaurant for decoration and give you hats and noise makers to help celebrate. They are totally booked... More

I recently visited this restaurant with family. My sister had eaten there before and highly recommended it. The chopped salad is delicious and is plenty when divided. I also divided my perfectly grilled steak with another person and it was just the right amount. Service could not be beat and I loved the decor. Highly recommend!!

A bit on the pricey side, but very tasty from the sea bass to the petit filet. Four of us in our group and no one was disappointed. We will return for a special occasion. Our waiter was very good and did not smell of smoke because to all of us that would have been a turn off. We do... More

It is a steak chain that is not "all that" good. Yes, it might be prime steaks but the cooking technique is what makes it and make restaurants unique. This one has no signature just steaks that they let you season yourself (really?). This is high price for average steak and OK service. When you smell cigarets on the servers... More

I was there with my husband and our adult son who was visiting. We had heard good things and expected something on the level of Ruth's Chris. Not even close. Our waiter was polite but not very informative about menu items or anything else--seemed to be "phoning it in". Steaks were good. not great and one was cooked medium instead... More

If you want great steak with cigar/cigarette smoke all around you you'll be good with this place. If you want great steak and clean air I'd suggest going to Ruth's Chris in Grand Dunes, which also has a much better/larger bar area. As far as I know, NY Prime is the only fine restaurant in the area that allows smoking... More

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience. Smoking is permitted in our bar area only, but we understand it's not for everyone. Thank you for the visit and happy holidays. More

The meal was pretty good. We had a large group and the service was great. I usually describe how I want my steak as restaurants sometimes have different ideas about medium and medium well. My steak was a little overdone and not as tender and juicy as I would have preferred. The sides were very good and overall the experience... More

Outstanding NY Strip. Cooked to perfection. Appetizer platter with garlic shrimp, Alaskan Crab meat was delicious. Expensive but if you're going here you already know that.

This is a "Must Visit" for steak when visiting Myrtle Beach. The food and service are what one would expect from a fine steak house. When I'm with my wife, we do wish it was a bit quieter.
