A vacation staple

You can't go wrong at Benjamins. Food is good and plentiful. Lots of options for kids as well as adults. We visit at least once a year if not more. The only think lacking is in the desert department. It's all average cakes and cookies that have very little taste. Even the Ice Cream is bland. Now... read more

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The wait staff was excellent tending to us. I will continue to visit here whenever we are in town. They have a great selection of food.

Visited 3/26/2015. Food was cold - everything we tried was cold. Service was attentive but everyone from the pirate greeter at the door to our server lacked personality, showed no enthusiasm for the job. The food was bland although it was presented well and looked appetizing - it just didn't taste as good as it looked. Had a coupon for... More

Went with a friend to a advertised B Y G O. on a Wednesday. Coupon in paper on Sundays in The Sun Times newspaper. When received the Bill at the end of visit ended up paying more for meal then at regular price. Ended up paying 25.70 for each meal plus a 10.00 service charge on bill that was supposed... More

My quest was to enjoy to my fill, the best fried shrimp in Myrtle Beach before heading back home to WV. I discovered Benjamin's Calabash buffet and was totally impressed with the selections and the customer service. A great food experience.

We LOVE coming to The Original Benjamin's! The variety of food choices is overwhelming! Every time we come there are new food choices to try - love it. The hush puppy's are addicting. No matter who you bring - they will be thrilled - meatlover's, vegetarian's, kids and of course, seafood lovers. Everyone will leave MORE than full and happy.... More

The place is awesome, sure their busy, expect to wait! It's worth it, my only regret is not eating here everyday and the capacity limitations of my own stomach.

What is Calabash? That is what we wanted to know since there are many with that term in their name. Apparently, Calabash is a place in North Carolina that has a tradition of lightly breading and frying seafood that was been brought over the state line to SC. Which Benjamin? According to a local, if you have to come to... More

I don't usually like buffets, but this place is the bomb. I can't do justice to the variety of foods that they put out so I'll just list 1/4 of what I ate. Unlimited crab legs, steamed oysters, fried oysters, roast beef carving station, stuffed salmon, a Forest Gump variety of shrimp dishes, sides galore, banana pudding (the desert bar... More
