Homecooked, authentic German food and FUN!

There is no shortage of crab legs and fried shrimp in this part of town. If you are looking for something delicious and different, you must go to Horst Gasthaus. The ambiance alone is worth it. It feels like you have traveled to the German countryside. The decor, live accordion music, and servers... read more

Tried this recently with some German friends on a Saturday night. We got there about 5:15 and found fast seats, but in a while, the floor filled up quite quickly. We joined encouraged two good friends to join us for dinner and were very disappointed. We had enjoyed a nice dinner there last year with other friends and this time three out of four of us were not pleased. The pork schnitzel was actually 3 boneless pork chops - dry and over cooked. The spaetzli was dry and tasteless. We... More

My family is German, so I've got high expectations. The goulash was delicious, make sure to ask for it with spaetzle and red cabbage. Prices were a little high, but overall great dinner and atmosphere. I would go back.

We have been to Myrtle Beach dozens of times over the last 18 years and we always make sure we eat at this establishment. I spent two years in Germany while in the service and have come to appreciate German food when it is cooked well and this restaurant is a good example of it. I have never been disappointed... More

I ordered the all you could eat pork chops. They were very over cooked and dry. The potato pan cakes were sweet. Only to find out they use pancake flour in them??????? Why????

What a wonderful place to get good German food. We go there at least twice a year, and have done so for 15 years. Not a bad meal yet.
