We visit nearby Brunswick County several times each year and often make the trip down for a dinner at the Horst Gasthaus. This year we had a three generational visit which all of us were quite happy with both our meal and the service. Our waitress, I think her name was Christina, could not have been more attentive and pleasant... More

This is the first time I ate German, so I don't really have much to compare to. The food was decent, nothing to brag about. I wouldn't eat there again, unless I had another certificate, and I would have to order something different. My 11 year old sister had the chopped steak and she enjoyed it. My husband and I... More

Born in Vienna and raised in Germany. This food is not authentic German. Instant potatoes, dumplings out of the box, horrible Schnitzel...on and on. Vienna Cafe in Myrtle Beach is the real deal.

My daughter enjoyed her dinner especially the spaetzel but was not a fan of the potato pancake. I had the special (can't remember the name) and really enjoyed it. It was a pork dish with onions, pepper and gravy - it was delicious. My husband had the sauerbraten and it was fair, not the best and not the worst he... More

It's hard to find German restaurants any more. We ordered most of the standard stuff. Wiener Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, bratwurst, etc. The beer was good, the service was friendly, the food was very good. (Nice to find a place that serves veal; it's getting harder to find). The total tab seemed a bit on the pricey side; we paid about $125... More

This restaurant is all around fantastic. The food is great. We went with our 4 children and all cleaned their plates. The staff and atmosphere are wonderful. They even have an accordion player playing live music. One of the best values at the beach. Family of 6 ate there for $50 and that included dessert.

Nice German ambience, complete with an accordion player to serenade you while you eat. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good, but not the best German meal I have had. Jaeger Schnitzel was tasty, but potatoes were somewhat bland and the green beans so-so. The spaetzel was also pretty good.

We had a party of 12 with 5 kids and they seated us right away. The place is charmingly decorated and had a man playing the accordion. The staff wear authentic-looking German clothing. Never having had German food before, the server was a big help in answering questions and making suggestions. The goulash soup is to die for! Everything we... More

Great atmosphere, excellent food and service. My daughter loved the old gentlemen playing Dutch folk songs on his native language. We got seated next to the stage and he made really funny jokes:) Overall a great place to visit.

Great place tucked away on Restaurant Row. We have eaten here quite a few times over the years and each time is fantastic. Reasonable prices for adults and children. Waitresses very friendly and helpful with any requests. Good entertainment with the live German music -- the kids really enjoyed it. My husband and I got the schnitzel and the kids... More
