Party of 9 went to early bird special

By making a reservation, our party of 9 was able to get preferred seating by the window overlooking the lake. The sweet rolls and hush puppies were great, but the shrimp creole was not exceptional. Next time I go, I'll get the fried shrimp because it looked great.

We wanted a seafood restaurant that was not a buffet dining experience. There are a lot of buffet restaurants in the North Myrtle Beach area, if that is what your seeking. The wait staff and atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. We got there at 6pm and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. They serve bread and... More

We went to Chesapeake House at the recommendation of the concierge at the hotel. Our experience was unremarkable. Given that we waited a half hour to be seated we're not sure what all the excitement was about. My friend ordered

Sorry, but I picked a place based on the number of cars in the lot thinking more customers meant better food. Wrong. We had the item the menu had as a very popular choice--the flounder topped with crab. It was like something a low to mediocre cook could whip up in her kitchen. As a good cook, I like to... More

We loved this place so much we ate there twice! Terrific fish stew, she crab soup was the best I've ever had (could have made a meal of that). I had flounder and the seafood platter, both were wonderful. You can order the fish fried (traditional for the area), grilled or sauteed, which is nice to have a choice. Sides... More

The restaurant had very quick seating and service. Had a great selection of food and loved the early beard specials from 4-6. We arrived and 5:30 and did not have to wait at all. The food was also great. Loved the free bread, hush puppies and cinnamon rolls.

The food is wonderful, with these homemade cinnamon rolls that are so delicious, lots of good seafood and our server was so helpful and friendly. It is old, but very quaint and right on a little lake for atmosphere - rustic and enjoyable. No wonder voted #1 in Myrtle Beach.

Minimal wait time during a very busy time, great service in spite of the crowd. We were seated right by the window and enjoyed it. The hush puppies had a sweet taste but was assured it is just cornmeal. My shrimp coating also was a bit sweet, again assured no sugar or sweetner had been added. My husband had fried... More

This restaurant is a 'must' whenever we're in Myrtle Beach, and we always have a wonderful meal there. We've tried several things on their menu, and have been pleased with everything we've ordered.
