Solid dining choice

We made reservations and went early based on TA feedback. Got there at 5 and was a queue already starting. Seated us next to the pond/lake on back of the property, was able to see turtles and a gator while dining. They have a limited early bird menu, we found ourselves ordering off the regular... read more

Loved the ribeye. Rest of the family loved the seafood. Make reservations early in the day to avoid a long wait. Service was excellent. Will go back on our next trip to Myrtle Beach.

We went to the Chesapeake House for the first time and enjoyed our experience. With a budget in mind, we went during the Early Bird Special hours (4:30-6). We arrived around 4:50 and the entire dining room was filled with an hour wait! But, the bar area (which is non-smoking and still has comfortable chairs) had available tables and we... More

My husband and I went to Chesapeake House on a recommendation from a friend. This restaurant has been in Myrtle Beach since 1971, and is always busy. Do make reservations before you go and it will save you up to an hour wait time. We ordered the Chesapeake Baked Flounder, topped with a crab mixture, which comes with your choice... More

Highly recommend reservations the day before! We had reservations thanks to tripadvisor and reading reviews others had written. If you don't have reservations, expect a 2-3 hour wait (no joke). My daughter had the kids flounder and said it was the best fish she has ever had. My husband and I each had shrimp. They offer cinnamon rolls, bread, and... More

This is a reservation required restaurant. If you drop by you will have an hour plus wait. Ask for a table by the window. The scenery on an inland lake with the animal life is both romantic and great to entertain kids. The meal starts with their famous bakery items including cinnamon rolls and hush puppies, and a tomato-based fish... More

We usually eat here during our summer visit, and have generally had a good experience. Last night was pretty bad. We waited for over 2 hours on what was supposed to be a 45 minute wait. We saw many people come in after us, and leave before we had even sat down. The hostess had a really bad attitude. The... More

This is one of the best seafood houses in the Myrtle Beach area. The food is delicious and there is a lot of it. The prices are about average for the amount of food that you get. The bread is what makes the trip as well. I will be going back again next time. Definitely a must!

Great cinnamon rolls! Make a reservation one day ahead of time. They only open at 4:30 and it is lined up out the door. Best time to go is 4:30-6 they have some early bird specials. Very friendly staff and we enjoyed the food. Not fancy very casual dining. If you get a window seat by the water you may... More

We wanted a restaurant that was not available to us I our hometown, so we tried Chesapeake House. Three got the ribeye, which was good, not great. I got the seafood Monterey, which was good, not great. My son got the flounder and fried shrimp platter and loved it. The big bread basket and sampling of fish stew were a... More
