This was our family's first trip to Captain Benjamin's. When we pulled up we were a little discouraged by the huge crowds standing outside, it was unexpected as it was early Tuesday afternoon. We decided to stick around and we are so glad we did. The restaurant itself seems pretty old and outdated. It's a huge space and a little... More

Six of us ate at this restaurant a 5:30 pm on Thursday, 7/17/14. We didn't have to wait. Buffet was full of lots of delicious, fresh seafood. It is on the expensive side, and they do not accept coupons on your phone. If you have a coupon, make sure you've printed it out or have some sort of hardcopy.

Gross seafood buffet - overwhelming assortment of overcooked or fried seafood. The ONLY plus to this place is the limitless amount of crablegs - my son and his teammates ate their weight in crablegs and were very happy :).

We have visited several sea food buffets in the area during our visits to Myrtle Beach. This buffet was nothing to rave about unless you're going solely for the endless crab legs. We were not impressed with the food/selection. Our waitress was amazing and friendly, however.

Always part of our longer stays in M.B. is this establishment. The food bars are always set with fresh and excellently prepared sea food and other fare. There is an almost mind boggling selection to pick from. The staff is always friendly and attentive to our table, whether we are just my wife and I or our whole family of... More

The variety of food was awesome, the price was on par with other seafood buffets in the area. Plenty of snow crab, the raw bar was well stocked with oysters, clams, mussels, and crawfish. Lots of fried stuff and fresh vegetables. Good, prompt service. We'll be back.

My girlfriend remembered this restaurant from her childhood so we randomly decided to stop one evening for the buffet. We had to wait 60-65 minutes to be seated and I had a roughly 15 minute wait at the bar for drinks while we waited to be seated. There was a nice play area for the kids although it was a... More

Drab atmosphere and average food made this buffet somewhat disappointing. There are several buffets of this type in the area including another seafood buffet called Benjamin's. At $30 per person I would expect a nicer atmosphere and a better selection. Check carefully before selecting a seafood buffet in Myrtle Beach.
