The restaurant was clean and had a decent local atmosphere. Waiter was good too. We liked that it's not a chain. There are lots of fried and breaded options. However, we prefer broiled or as our waiter said "lightly sauteed." Several of the side dish options were unavailable so we had to choose between broccoli (for an extra 2 bucks)... More

I am so very sorry that you had a less than stellar visit to Mr. Fish. We have such a great track record of being the freshest joint in Myrtle because we have a Seafood Market right next door. I am also sorry to hear that you got sick, I would like to hear more about the Tilipia and your... More

OK, I'm not sure why all the hoop-la for this place. It is just average. I will start off. The she-crab soup was good. The hush-puppies w/honey butter were good. I got the shrimp platter $12, now note the shrimp are medium size and you get just 12. These are about the size of a quarter, not large or jumbo.... More

I'm sorry that you had an "okay" experience here. The reason why our food is a little bit pricey is because it is fresh, and it is pricey all the way around. We try to make it as reasonably priced as possible, and we're sorry you feel the portions were small. We hope you will give us another shot, and... More

If you're looking for the freshest, most reasonably priced seafood away from the crowded downtown areas of Myrtle Beach, then this is your stop. Located about a 10 minute ride up Business 17 around 64th Avenue, Mr. Fish(AKA the ever present owner, Ted Hammerman) has, in my opinion, the Best Happy Hour in the area. The Gumbo Soup is a... Oysters on half-shell were very good. The combination platter was excellent and plenty to eat. The sea crab soup was yummy! The whole founder was meaty and very good. Love the hushpuppies. Our waitress was very friendly. We plan to return on our next rip back to the beach.

We visited Mr. Fish because of the positive rating and inexpensive prices on the menu. We asked 2 diners leaving the restaurant how their meal was, and they stopped to rave about the food. We agreed, this was the BEST meal we had on our 4 day stay in MB. The service was excellent. The selection was excellent. The prices... More

A lady at Food Lion recommended several great local restaurants while we were visiting Myrtle Beach. One of them was Mr. Fish. We enjoyed an early dinner at Mr. Fish because we had driven past the restaurant earlier in the week and noticed the parking lot was full. Full in the off season I might add. The restaurant is homey,... More

While staying in Myrtle Beach with my cousin we happened upon the Mr. Fish Market. We were concerned about the quality we might find. OH MY how lucky were we. We bought: fresh jumbo shrimp, tuna, salmon as well as crab cakes, crab soup, and Boom Boom dip. The soup and dip were from the restaurant. ALL of them were... More

Sitting at the bar drinking $2 bottle domestics and eating $5 BoomBoom Shrimp or Stuffed Potbellos make for a very good experience... All bartenders treated us great..
