A Fun Family Beach Stop

We had just arrived in town and came to walk on the Marsh Walk. After having a look around, we were tempted in for a drink by the live music going on. We were seated right away. Our waitress was terrific! Friendly and on the spot! The hushpuppies and honey butter were so addictive, we couldn't... read more

We stopped for drinks after dinner elsewhere in the area, so review is not about the food. Drinks were fine and the atmosphere is neat. They also have live music sometimes. Just a neat stop when on vacation. Enjoyed and will return.

Had El Grouper Taco and it was ok but won't be doing that again. . Bread was dry on edges and looked more like appetizer than a meal. We come here at least once a month and had better meals than today so won't let that stop us from coming again. We love Bill Crouse Tuesday show here

We had steams pots and soup. The steam pot was good but nothing special. The She Crab soup was excellent. Wonderful blend of flavors and nice texture. Good service, fun live music and great location on the inlet.

We ate here with other parents from our sons baseball team. The food was ok. My wife and I both ordered pulled pork sandwiches, which were very dry. It was just pulled pork and no sauce. The service was slow. We got there after our group and waited about 10 minutes before the waitress noticed us. She never asked us... More

We visited Dead Dog Saloon tonight with a large group of 14. We had to wait for a little bit to be seated but it was completely worth it! The menu had lots of delicious options to suit everyone, the waitstaff was attentive, food orders were perfect and we all left full:-D. This place will definitely be on my list... More

Wonderful hush puppies, crab dip, seafood platter and seafood hot pot. Key lime pie just set the whole experience. Will go again the next time that we come to Myrtle Beach. Thanks to Sabrina for the great service.

We were looking for a place for authentic southern seafood and we found it at the Dead Dog Saloon. There were many choices on the river walk and they all seem to serve the same things. We liked the look of this place and decided to try it. It's a bit of a kitschy looking place. They have photos of... More

We chose this place for lunch based in its crowd- wrong idea! Our lunch was delivered cold, 15 minutes after the people who sat down after us were done. My tuna tacos were horrible- seriously the worst I've ever had! Two tacos with 2 pieces of rubbery tuna the size of a child's finger. I feel like we threw away... More

Amy, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your lunch at the Dead Dog Saloon. There's no excuse for your food being delivered cold. The tuna tacos are one of our most popular items and we serve several dozen orders of them every day. It is unfortunate that on your order, it seems we missed the mark.... More

This was our first visit and we all loved it. We were able to sit out on the deck watching the sun set and listening to the live music all around us. Our server was outstanding! We have already made plans to come back next year.
