We stopped in on a raining night and was seated quickly. The staff was friendly and attended to us well. The restaurant was cold in side and uncomfortable. Most folks were wearing jackets. I ordered the stuffed flounder after asking if the $18.99 dish was stuffed with crab meat. I was told it was. The fish I received was half... More

Looking for a nice dinner on a last night in town, we chose Nance's. It was to have a good view of the marsh and it didn't disappoint. Staff seats each group as close to the windows as possible without you having to ask. I appreciated that. We chose the low country boil. The serving was so big (for 2)... More

We have dined at Nance's since the 1980's. It is a tradition for us to get slimy and messy with the wonderful oyster clusters harvested right there.

Been eating her about once a year for over 20 years. Food is always great, service good, crowds large. Get here before 6 or be prepared to wait a bit.

This place has great views and excellent food. The oysters are top notch and the service is good. However, the atmosphere is very stuffy and quite. We felt like everyone there was much older than us and it was a little fish campy. During high season I suspect that is not the case but in the shoulder seasons it appears... More

Being December, with wind and rain along with being stuck in traffic at the end of the Christmas Parade Nance's was our port for our evening dinner. No waiting. Good service. Great view! Sea food platter was average. The majority of customers were having seamed oysters. They were coming out by the tubs full. Prices were good. Plenty of parking.... More

Great fresh seafood. Come with a group and an appetite. Get the oysters and prepare for lots of shucking. It's worth it.

And the Oysters are to die for....free hush puppies too!! We had a New Jersey transplant waitress & what fun she was...Being from the north ourselves we could relate to her stories. Everyone was happy with their meals--steak, chicken, raw & steamed oysters. And it was happy hour.....YIPPEE!!!!

Beautiful views of the Inlet marshes and a good menu, make this a good choice for casual but excellent, dining. When oysters are in season this is the place to be. Their "oyster roasts" is a legendary part of the experience and the oysters are juicy, sweet and of good size. We go here fairly often and have never had... More

We were treated well by the hostess and our waiter. The food was good but not extra good. It was a week night and not crowded and the restaurant was very calm and quiet. We only have fish camps upstate to compare these seafood restaurants to and shrimp upstate is just as tender and cooked just as well in the... More
