We were seated before a party of 6 or 7 yet we were not seen until our waitress took drink and appy orders for the larger party. My husband asked for his beer to be served with his dinner. He was almost done when the beer arrived. The larger table got rolls before they received their appys. I asked the... More

My husband had the crab legs steam pot and he thought it was excellent and well worth the money. I had the hot fish plate fried and the only thing good on the platter was the scallops. I think if you are going to a top rated seafood restaurant the fish should be excellent. The fish did not have a... More

Went here for dinner on a business trip. Highly recommended. Sat at the bar, everyone knew each other. Older crowd so it was comfortable. Had the Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer it was delicious. Had the small plate onion crusted Salmon. Very good, sauce was a bit heavy. Service was excellent! I would go here again.

During a recent trip to Murrells Inlet, my wife and I dined twice at the Hot Fish Club. The first experience was slightly better than the second time around, but both were good dining experiences. I ordered the special grilled grouper both times, as it was truly delicious and very well paired with asparagus and Risotto. My wife ordered fried... More

Overall a very good experience. * Waitress staff was very friendly though forgot that I asked for additional butter. * She Crab: Recommend NOT ordering this option. Marginal taste in comparison to competition. Makes me wonder what lead some other reviewers to find soup this so good. Good price though. * Dinner was perfect. Choose the pictured fried HFC Seafood... More

I had the shecrab soup and my wife. Had a salad to begin. Shecrab was very salty and very little crab. I ordered the crab cakes my wife the scallops. I had one spoonful of soup and they brought our entrees. I felt like we were in mcdonalds. No excuse for that. My crabcakeswere not good. Mushy with little crab.... More

Have been coming to the area on vacation for 50 plus years. Have eaten at many, many good seafood restaurants from Calabash NC to Pawley's Island, SC. The reviews on Trip Advisor, as I'm sure you have seen, say this is the top rated seafood restaurant in the area. That was not our experience. We arrived at the restaurant around... More

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your experience with us. We pride ourselves on our great food, great service, and great environment. And you are correct, the screened in porch is not on top of the water, it is about 100 yards from the porch (I will add that view is unobstructed) our gazebo deck however, is much... More

I have to say...yes, yes, yes...Hot Fish Club was over the top on all areas. The atmosphere is casual and inviting whether you sit outside overlooking the marsh or inside. Our service was exceptional! I'm sure all their servers are fantastic, but ask for Danielle...she was the best server we've had...probably ever. Very friendly and we never lacked for anything....
