Nice Brunch

My husband and I had a nice brunch at Red Drum on Sunday. The bottomless Bellini was a great deal (and they had bottomless Mimosa's as well). My Shrimp and Grits were great...I just felt it could have had a few more shrimp in it...and a little more of the bacon, as it was delicious. My husband had... read more

Do not discount restaurants that are not located downtown Charleston! This Mount Pleasant restaurant is obviously a local favorite! It was bustling with the young and old alike. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous! They also have the best shrimp and grits in the low country! I will definitely return!

Very nice place and romantic in a charming city of Mt Pleasant. We loved the menu and our waitress was fabulous. That can make or break your experience. We will be back!!

Every experience with this local gem of a gastropub is a pleasure. They are genuinely 'glad to see you', have exceptional service and options and the food always delicious. This was made even better by the surprise 1/2 price wine night we found out about! It had been too long since we ate a dinner here but it won't be... More

Went here for brunch. Menu somewhat limited but my mega on chorizos was delicious. It was scrambled eggs with chorizo, cheese, peppers and tacos served with retried beans. Good portion and very tasty. My husband had the quail with venison sausage, also very different and tasty. Our server, Tom, was very good. The only negative was that it was very... More

Often driven past this restaurant parking lot always full BUT they have complimentary valet !!! We come to Charleston at least 5 times a year and dine at seriously outstanding restaurants. I intend to become a regular at Red Drum. I was amazed... We began with delicious crab& avocado on homemade corn chips. The barbecue shrimp were tender seasoned to... More

Nice atmosphere and just a few minutes drive from downtown Charleston, SC. The catch of the day was grouper and some of the best I've had. My husband loved the pork chop, while our friends raved about the filet and the enchiladas! We shared a dessert of rum cake with ice cream that was out of this world...

We heard about this place from a friend and decided to give it a try. Monday night dinner so not too crowded, had a drink at the bar, bartender was nice. Moved to table, wasn't greeted immediately but nice server. Menu is very limited but tried the enchiladas. Good choice! Fresh food. Had a jalapeno margarita and was quite spicy... More

Great food and bar scene , where the movers and shakers drink. Real friendly staff. Valet parking , I suggest the Pork Chop or the fried shrimp appetizer.

My wife and I have been to Red Drum several times and have yet to be disappointed by the food or service. It is one of our go to places when we have friends and family in from out of town - with high praise the typical result. There is a nice variety on the menu, but they do the... More
