Nice local eatery

Our son took us to Five Loaves Café while visiting in Mount Pleasant. This is a nice, casual local-style establishment with excellent food, wine selection and service. They offer a 1/2 sandwich (huge!) and soup/salad combo that is unbeatable. The garden burger, chicken salad club were great and the... read more

We saw the great reviews of Five Loaves Café on tripadvisor and decided to give it a spin. We forgot that we were there last year and were disappointed back then. My wife and I had salads – the greens were fresh, and they tasted OK. The croutons in the Caesar salad were like rocks, so, my wife handed them... More

Ouch, not the review we want to get at all. I can assure you the sauces for both dishes mentioned are made in house and not a "sysco" opening a can thing. Extremely disappointed you didn't care for our food. PM me at casey@glowfischgroup.com if there's anyway I can attempt to win you back over. I will say I welcome... More

Tasty and locally sourced. Nice place for small healthy bites. The serving of water in Mason jars is a nice touch.

We had lunch here today with a group of friends. It was quite busy so we had to wait a while for a table. The interior decor was nice. Open and airy. Busy. The staff was pleasant and attentive. We all enjoyed our lunches very much. I had the Cobb salad that was very tasty. One diner did send her... More

Went for lunch again today and sat at the bar. One lady was too busy talking to her friends to serve anyone but the other bar tender with the really long hair was as usual busting her butt to clean and serve everyone. Someone else came to wipe down where we sat nut only cleaned their side of the bar... More

We have eaten here twice and the food is very delicious. Looking around, I noticed most people seemed to be ordering the 1/2 soup or salad with 1/2 sandwich 8.75 deal, and observed the salad portions were huge, the bowl of soup brimming, and when they got their sandwich in a wrap it was still huge. Yesterday my husband ordered... More

We went to this place for a lunch. It is very casual in appearance inside and has a variety of healthy options. Definitely not fancy. The service was good. My wife had a mixed greens and potato pancake salad that she liked. I had a turkey reuben. We both had raspberry flavored ice tea. We had pecan pie for dessert.

I have to say that this review is LONG overdue! We've been customers at five loaves since 2003 when the first one opened downtown. Having moved to Mt. Pleasant five years ago, we started visiting the one in Mt. Pleasant and it has become a staple in our family. We love the new location (same shopping center but with several... More

After driving back from Charleston we decided to stop at Five Loaves at a friend's suggestion. Arrived at 1:30pm. Husband ordered the full size tomato and mozzarella salad ($9) and let me tell you it was small and only so so. I ordered a 1/2 turkey sandwich on whole grain bread (one of the daily specials). $5. Bread was stale,... More
