Reviews said it could be busy and it was but we got there just before they started to make people wait and we were able to be seated right away. The place has great food and that is why they are busy. Service was excellent !!!

My sister and I ate at the Charleston cafe for breakfast during our visit. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I had a waffle that had fruit and nuts on it and it was the best waffle i have ever eaten. It was so good that we went back the next day so my sister could... More

Plenty to choose from no matter what you're craving. Service is fast and friendly. This place is very popular and usually there's a wait, especially on the weekend. Coffee's pretty strong and may put hair on your chest. If you're waiting on a place to sit, they offer coffee while you wait. Better than the chain restaurants.

Part of the fun of visiting other cities is the finding out-of-the-way places that are a little off the beaten path. We stumbled across Charleston's Cafe while looking for a gas station. While I'm sure tourists are not uncommon, this seems very much like a local haunt. It has that neighborhood feel that's hard to fake, earned by years of... More

We go to this cafe every time we visit Charleston. We try to arrive at opening time since it fills up fast. The menu is unique with many specials that are posted on a white board. We have enjoyed the gingerbread pancakes, the pumpkin pancakes and the many variations of eggs benedict. The service is always excellent and quick. We... More

Arriving before crowds we were seated immediately but for some reason at a table for 4 (there were 5 adults) in the main walkway. There were several tables for 4 out of the main walk area. Orders were taken promptly, did not wait too long for food. And plenty of it. Only one mistake with biscuits. Asking for boxes for... More

We went to the Cafe for breakfast. The service was spot on and very friendly. The food was delicious! Good country cooking and a wide variety of options. The food was delivered to the table in minutes...we were in and out in 30 minutes total. I would recommend it!

If you are looking for a typical low country breakfast when you are in Charleston, you need to swing by Charleston's Cafe. Order the shrimp and grits - some of the best in town. Plus, the other breakfast items are also so worth it! Not low on calories, but worth the splurge!

Everything was amazing. I visited this cafe with my husband and we cant be more pleased. We ordered a Salted Caramel Mocha Latte, Pumpking pancakes and Salmon and Crab Griddle Cakes, and OMG, were they good. The service was great and even though we went in rush hour (Sunday at 1100) we got a table right away, catered by our... More

My husband and I returned today for the second trip (first time was last weekend), and I have to say that we are hooked. We decided that this is going to be our Date Morning every weekend. The food is awesome, gourmet breakfast, service is wonderful, and the chef is extremely nice. We tried items of off the weekly specials... More
