When we were in Mt. Pleasant for a summer wedding, we woke up Sunday morning hungry for a good breakfast before our drive home. After search TA and finding Charleston's Cafe, we decided to give it a try. Reluctant of finding a long wait time, we went anyway. We got lucky and only waited 10 minutes since we were a... More

Breakfast here is such a treat. So many different options. They have the most creative breakfasts that I haven't given there lunches a chance. The place is comfortable but not overly done up. The Amber by the way starts with a Crab cake, topped with an egg and hollandaise and sprinkled with sausage and shrimp. It's awesome. My wife changes... More

We visited this little cafe twice on our 4 day mini vacation to the Charleston area. Simply the best breakfast with fresh local food. The Chef's Special was a grit cake with blackened shrimp, poached eggs, andouille sausage gravy, asiago cheese, and green onions and it was incredibly amazing! Crawfish seafood omelet with goat cheese was incredibly good. Caper Island... More

Went for breakfast and had the chefs' special (a stack of 2 eggs, crab cake, andouille sausage gravy, grits, cheese and with blackened shrimp - are you kidding? Fantastic), and banana pecan pancakes with caramel sauce. Coffee tasted fresh ground, flavorful. The menu has something for everyone with some creative selections. Very friendly staff. Nice artwork around the restaurant. Get... More

I was recently in Mt. Pleasant, SC (Charleston area) and asked a colleague about a good place for breakfast. He recommended Charleston's Cafe and I am glad he did. This is definitely a "locals place" tucked away in a strip shopping center. I doubt I would have ever found it if not for the hearty recommendation. I am a traditional... More

This was the perfect end to a family vacation. The staff was friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We had a member of our family with a food allergy, and our sever, Erin, helped navigate the menu and make the best choice to avoid any issues. Erin served a party of 13 and a baby like a pro,... There was four in our group and every dish was excellent. We had the Ambers choice, omelet, low country shrimp and grits (best I ever had) and the bread pudding french toast. To think we almost didn't wait, sure glad we did. The food and service is worth the wait!

One of the best breakfasts I've had! Delicious sweet potato biscuits complemented the house special "chipper". This is a pile of toppings over some fried potatoes. I was told it was a specialty so I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. I had the one with shrimp and creamed crab.

Good food, the orange cinnamon iced tea was great, but I felt the price was too much for the atmosphere.

If you are looking for a breakfast that is outside the box from traditional breakfast, this is a MUST! While there are traditional offerings (waffles, french toast, etc.) Charleston Cafe adds a great twist to classics. I had the Southern Benedict (Poached egg, hollandaise sauce, fried green tomato on a french bread). Wonderful! Don't miss the chippers (home made chips).
