Good spot in a small town

Not a ton of options if you want to stay East if the bridge a have a bor breakfast. My daughter had a beautiful waffle. Pretty good prices, especially compared to the Courtyards by Marriott cafe. Definitely a good choice.

YELP drove us crazy trying to make it be on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. NOT SO!!! It is in Anna Knapp Plaza OFF of Johnnie Dodds at the intersection with Anna Knapp Blvd. It is within 100 yards of that intersection. We went to try the shrimp & grits which had sort of a tomato bisque sauce.

My wife and I found this cafe online and wanted to keep to our tradition of always eating at local places while on vacation. The reviews all showed to be good. Our experience however was not. The staff was not very friendly at all. Unfortunately my wife does have a dairy allergy, which we know is tough with southern food,... More

Came here after I found it on TripAdvisor before our journey to charleston. Our hotel charged 15.95 for breakfast buffet. My husband and I are picky eaters so that was not an option. Very happy we decided to go! Sunday AM was a good time bc of all the church goers. Had the flavored latte of the week - amazing!!... More

We were driving around Sunday morning and found this little gem. Fortunately, we were there when the doors opened or we would have waited in line. We just had a typical breakfast... I had an omelette, vegetarian and it was very fresh and very tasty. My husband had eggs over easy, grits and pan fries and applewood bacon. I had... More

We were there on Saturday morning at opening - 8 am. Chose a cheese and onion omelet, sausage patties and grits. All was very good. The grits were among the best I have had eating out in 20 years. Service was fast and friendly. Of course we were the first customers of the day, so there was no crowd. Was... More

Well worth the wait. On weekends, there is about a half-hour wait on the weekends, all the way from 10 'til about 1. Great choices, and locally sourced when possible.

We stopped in for a late breakfast on a Monday. Not too busy. Hidden away in a strip mall. Service ehh. She said she couldn't tell the difference between the milk and cream container. She brought skim milk not cream. She got one of the orders wrong...not a good start. Never came back to the table for coffee refills. So,... More

Cafe was recommended a few months ago, just got there today, I am sorry it took so long. We got there at 1pm they close at 2pm, and had no wait. Salmon salad and 2 casseroles with chippers. Great service, coffee and food. Just like another review said. When the food arrived we had no thoughts of taking pictures just... More

Some things were exceptional (pimento cheese), some average (grits, French toast) but overall a very good experience. Husband loved the jalapeno bacon and corned beef hash. The cheese omelet was cooked well but not distinguished. Best advice is to go with the atypical items as this is where they set themselves apart. The service was e,cement and the prices reasonable.... More
