The "Mustard Seed Migas" is what I ordered. Incredible! We had brunch with friend who were locals and told us, "they have never had a bad mead." We had a later dinner on a saturday. Only about 6 table were occupied. Service was great and the portions were huge. It was very good but not quite sure why the couple we were with calls it their favorite in the area. Good but not as good as they claimed!

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to review the Mustard Seed. We were very happy to hear you enjoyed the food. Did you leave room for dessert? Our cakes and pies are amazing. Hope you'll give us another try next time you're in the area. Stay warm up in NC :) More

We travel to Charleston and the Wild Dunes often. We have tried so many local restaurants, and we are now convinced that the Mustard City has moved to the top of the list of our favorites! The service is great. The options are wonderful. I had the Mustard Seed Salad topped with blacked salmon. And my husband had the special... More

Changing soups and sandwich fare served in rapid fashion for quick lunch on the go. Pick three or so small cups of soup with half sandwich for a tasty pick me up and get back on the shopping trail. Better than average but nothing to write home about. Typically crowded with average service but quite popular as Charlestonians and their... More

No longer live in Mt Pleasant but had occasion to dine here again for lunch. What a treat. Chicken and sausage gumbo was excellent-- not even LA cuisine is any better! Special chicken enchilada was exceptional as was the veggie quesadilla. Their basket of warm bread is like a hug from an old friend!

I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant! I have eaten at this restaurant no less than twenty times. The owner is usually at the Mt. Pleasant location and is delightful. This is my favorite in Mount Pleasant!

My boyfriend and I ate here last night and everything was spectacular! He had the sweet potato raviolis and I the fettuccine carbonara. Both were filled with lots of flavor. The bread was delicious too as well as the hummingbird cake that we had for dessert. Service was good, will definitely be back!

We chose the Mustard seed for brunch, on a chilly, rainy day in Mt. Pleasant. The restaurant is housed in an older home and doesn't look like much from the outside. We decided to give it a try. Parking was limited. The interior of the building was older, but tastefully decorated and inviting. We were promptly seated. Our server was... More

I travel for work and I have had solitary dinners here two different times. Both times the service was excellent and I was not made uncomfortable about the fact I was eating alone. Both times I had a chef special . My first visit consisted of crab cakes. I am picky about crab cakes but these were wonderful-filled with crab... More

The food and the atmosphere are second to none. As newly converted southerners coming from the north, we visit new restaurants all the time. It's a hobby that my wife and I share so when we have company come from out of town we have a selected array of restaurants. The food was prepared fresh and we were very impressed... More
