Pleasant dining in Mount Pleasant

A later dinner on a Tuesday night we were one of three tables being served.Don't let the outside turn you away. The inside was nicely appointed and welcoming as were the host and wait staff. It was half off bottles of wine night so we took advantage and ordered pecan crusted chicken, Chicken... read more

We hit on this by accident. Siri said their weren't any restaurants around, so very pleased we spotted it. Rundown little house on the outside, but go in anyway. The manager/owner (Monday lunch) was very friendly and helpful. We ordered salads and chicken sandwich. Everything was very fresh and served attractively. The bread they give you to start was wonderful!... More

Several times eating here and suboptimal service consistently .Today was the worse and it was the last time we will come.Came for brunch.2 tables with couples eating and one ordering food when we were seated.Seated promptly and drinks came out.Very prompt at refilling coffee but that is where the prompt service stopped.Order was taken within a few minutes.Within 10-12 minutes... Ate at Mustard Seed during Sunday brunch. The restaurant's decor has been detailed by other reviewers. We were promptly seated given the restaurant was fairly empty- there were 2-3 other tables with diners when we arrived. Our server was busy chatting with diners at another table, and finally looked over at us mouthing "I'll be right there" before coming over... More

Several vegetarian friendly options on this menu attracted us here. Service was great. the owner, Sal, chatted with us several times and made us feel like regulars. We spent a few days in and around Charleston and in this restaurant we had the biggest portions and the lowest check out of the whole trip. Food was delicious. Ambiance is shabby... More

Does not look like much from the outside (or the inside!), but the food was very good. Eclectic menu, ranging from Mexican to Korean to good old 'merican. Nice beer and wine choices, and not too expensive. Service was good also.

Great place and great food. I had the pecan crusted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and my wife had the sweet potato, mushroom and spinach ravioli. Both were excellent. We finished it off with a slice of cookie dough cheesecake with an Oreo crust. When in town, we'll be back. If you read any reviews about this place being in... More

Dropped in for lunch and the restaurant is dated and seems a bit dingy, but food offering is very good and on the healthier side. I had black bean cakes with lovely vegetable assortment and it was very good. Hubby enjoyed his southwest chicken torte. Manager was very social and warm.

The "Mustard Seed Migas" is what I ordered. Incredible! We had brunch with friend who were locals and told us, "they have never had a bad mead." After eating my meal and seeing what came out of the kitchen, looking at the empty plate on tables around us , I believe them. The service was a little slow but we... More

We had a later dinner on a saturday. Only about 6 table were occupied. Service was great and the portions were huge. It was very good but not quite sure why the couple we were with calls it their favorite in the area. Good but not as good as they claimed!
