Best hard to find restaurant in Mt Pleasant, SC

This restaurant is hard to find but worth it. The ambiance is that of a fish shack. There is no air conditioning but it is right on Shem Creek. The food is really good, although it is a little expensive. They specialize in seafood, and offer a london broil steak but tell you on the menu it will... read more

Hard to find location. Casual. Great low country seafood. Have eaten here a number of times. Always good and fun

Nestled in a residential neighborhood at the end of Shem Creek is a wonderful little place called The Wreck- and guess what- thats what it looks like at first glance- but looks are so deceiving. The menu is seafood- FRESH seafood caught by fisherman out of Shem Creek- I had been here before and decided to take my son then... More

Went here with my husband and parents and we really enjoyed the food! The she crab soup was delicious and everything was fresh and was a great quality! Very friendly and tentative service as well!

We visited with our family and it was a fun and different outing. My son enjoyed the story of the Wreck . An interesting tale from hurricane Hugo about a trawler that sat next door named Richard and Charlene that was lifted up and wrecked into neighboring docks. Our server was fantastic and we enjoyed a walk out on the... More

She crab soup... very good. $7 good? No. Not at all. The two of us ate dinner, 1 cup of soup, two entrees (one with grilled shrimp and scallops, one with grilled shrimp, scallops and fried oysters, no alc. no dessert) and the bill came out to $66. Now, if the food was so fresh tasting that I was impressed... More

You will almost drive past this place if you aren't looking! It looks like a hole in the wall, but give it a try. Yes, the food was a little pricey, but so is every other restaurant in Charleston. The food was really good. Limited menu....only seafood.....not even a salad. Just keep that in mind. We enjoyed everything we had!... More

You have to understand and prepare your self before you go to this place. It is not fine dining, but it is fine seafood. Ita hole in the wall shack. They severe basic standard seafood fare. But it is very good and fresh seafood. If the waitress tells you this fish or that is really good right now, GET THAT!... More

Upon a friend's recommendation, my teenage daughter and I ate at "The Wreck". We were knee-deep in one of our road trips and thought this sounded like additional adventure. The place is a dive and if you don't pay attention, you will most likely miss it, as the only indicator is the red nun buoy, We each ordered a meal--my... More
