Not your typical seafood restaurant, but if you want fresh seafood this is the place to go. The story on how the restaurant started is what makes it so unique. Have been to the Wreck many times over the years but not sure I will be back. The food was good but service was slow, with a limited menu it should not of taken over 45 mins to get the food out. I also found it to be pricey for this type of restaurant.

This place is hard to find - you almost have to ask someone. We got lost, and we live here! Also, note that they do not accept plastic - you must have cash, but the seafood is terrific and it is right on the water.

We visited the Wreck on a night when the temperature was in the 90s. The dining room is not air-conditioned but they have plenty of ceiling fans and screens on the windows. If you don't like the heat you should probably pick a cool evening. On the other hand I was very comfortable. We got there just in time to... More

I discovered this restaurant when preparing for a weekend trip to Charleston. We stopped in on a Friday night after a long drive. The restaurant is on the water which was very relaxing. The only downside as the guests entered from the dock through the back door and walked through the dining area to the front of the restaurant. The... More

The atmosphere here is 100% worth it. My fiancé and I had the fantastic opportunity to find this place off the beaten path. Make sure you bring your GPS! Only open for dinner and until 8 (although it looked like as long as you got there before 8 you were good; we arrived at 7:30 and didn't finish our meal... More

Five days in Charleston, this was the worse meal by far. Overcooked and over spiced. Soft shell crab almost not edible. Shrimp---overwhelmed by cooking spices. Not air conditioned. Crowded. Cheap tables/chairs. We just didn't understand why its popular (by some).

Where to start. We walked in and it smelled like fish, was stuffy and hot. My 4 year old nephew wouldn't use the bathroom because it was so filthy, he had to be taken by his mom into the women's bathroom. I thought their paper menu where you circle what you want was really cute and was excited to see... More

This place is an adorable shanty shack perched directly on the water. The dining area is made up of an oversized screen porch, allowing the salty breeze to flow right through. The view of the sunset was spectacular, and the service was fantastic. The food, however, left much to be desired. Yes, it was fresh. But it also lacked flavor.... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant tonite for the view and the food. Their was no view of the inlet as the trees and weeds blocked that. Our portions were small, so much so that we had to go get dinner after we ate here. In addition, the cost was out of this world. DO NOT GO THERE!!!... More
