Food is consistently good. Service is excellent. Great view of the creek. Best seafood restaurant in the Charleston area.

My husband and I were happily surprised with the fresh seafood from this restaurant. Don't be scared off by the outside appearance of the building, the food is fantastic. When we visited, we say on the porch which was closed in and there were two fireplaces burning, which made the atmosphere very inviting. Definitely try the banana pudding to finish... More

I usually seek out seafood restaurants on the water because of their support for local fishermen, and the fact that they generally give you a good value for your money. I went for a light meal, and was led into the huge common dining area -- the room windows had been sealed for the winter with plastic sheeting so no... More

The service was very good, but the food was average at best. I would recommend that you try another place especially for the price.

I've ate at many of the Mt. Pleasant restaurants over the past few years and had always heard about The W|reck. This trip, we decided to go. Oh, how I wished I'd checked tripadvisor...if memory serves, The Wreck was once rated in the top 10. I knew it was a bit pricey & I do not mind pricey for something... More

We chanced on the wreck when we got lost looking for a different restaurant, and we were SO GLAD, because it was casual but cozy, fireplace-lit atmosphere that was as welcoming as the food was delicious. Great waitresses--friendly and helpful, not just about food but about other things to do on our stay in Charleston. Fresh fish was plentiful and... More

We were in Mt. Pleasant for food/music festival and always look for an original, local place to eat. My daughter has spent a few years in the area and told us about this place. She said it's more where locals go than fancy or commercial. My kind of adventure! I never judge a book by its cover and enjoy authentic,... More

OK, so the place is an absolute dump. You did not come for linen tablecloths. Here's the deal: when you enter a seafood establishment with NO FISH SMELL whatsoever, you know you are getting somewhere. A basket of complimentary boiled peanuts starts you meal. The hard work comes in choosing what to order. I got a combo, and it was... More

Great food and the sunset over the water was incredible. Very rustic place but in the summer it can be almost unbearably hot, even with water cooling down the metal roof.

My wife and I were introduced to The Wreck by a cousin several years ago. Excellent local seafood, nicely prepared at a reasonable price. When we visited the "Holy City" locale, The Wreck was on our must dining list. We told friends of it. We visited with several friends on Friday, 19 September. Crowded, but the staff was very helpful... More
