Food was o.k. shrimp and grits would have been better without the gravy. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent.

We had a group of 13 so we called ahead to make sure they would be able to seat a group that large at 7:00 on a Friday night. We were informed by the employee if we would be at the restaurant within 30 minutes she would be able to seat us. She was able to quickly seat us but... More

Went there on vacation with the family. The children had fried shrimp children's plate, they said they were good. I had Seafood Trio; grilled scallops, shrimp and mahi mahi. The scallops were fantastic and the shrimp was good. The mahi was huge, probably 6-8 oz, but it didn't have a lot of flavor. (I had left overs and it was... More

This was our go to place for dinner on a recent vacation in the USA. While we stayed on the Isle of Palms we preferred to eat elsewhere and enjoyed the easy drive across the connector to Gilligan's at Mt Pleasant. Good wholesome food - huge portions - very tasty and well priced. My husband and two kids enjoyed everything... More

Over priced, for the food you get. Cost me and my wife $60 for shrimp and grits and cheese sticks. Go somewhere else.

Our family of 5 had a pleasant experience here. Food was average (I wouldn't say exceptional but could have been worse) and price was reasonable. We were disappointed in the dip we ordered for our appetizer. We were expecting a hot dip served with chips and it was a cold dip served with packaged crackers. Good family atmosphere.

We were a group of 26 adults and preteens on a day off from a mission trip. Gilligans had been recommended so I let them know we were coming in advance. When we were about 5 minutes out, I gave them a call and they had no clue we were on our way. However, when we arrived, they had the... More

Unless you just want to say, "I've eaten downtown (Charleston) or on Shem Creek", the food here is very good and more affordable especially for a family. We've been visiting the Mount Pleasant Gilligan's for the past few years when we vacation here, and we've never been disappointed - mainly because my wallet is still has money left in it... More

We actually ate here twice during our recent trip to Charleston. After spending way too much money on touristy dining in Charleston, Gilligan's prices were refreshing. Our meal was reasonably priced for lunch. We ordered popcorn shrimp. Being from Missouri, we aren't very picky about seafood, but we thought this was as good as the overpriced food we ate in... More
