This is a restaurant run by people who are passionate about their business and the quality of food serves. A delight both in terms of service and the meal. Welcoming, professional and pleasant ambiance in a small, family setting. Excellent value for money too. Do wish I lived nearer but will return whenever in the Charleston area.

After almost 3 years tried this place again with a takeout pizza and spinach salad... the pizza was bland, crust tough, and the salad pretty boring. Can't say this was the worst I ever had, just not that great.

This small, low-profile restaurant has become one of our favorite spots for a casual Italian dinner. Away from the hassles of downtown but only a 5 minute drive over the Ravenel Bridge, do yourself a favor and try La Pizzeria. Bona fide Italian fare that goes well beyond pizza and pasta. Great service and friendly staff. Owner is delightful and... More

We almost walked out as soon as we walked in because it looked so small and crowded. Luckily, one of the waiters caught us and told us he had seating on the "patio", which was actually an enclosed area in the back. They were crazy busy, but kept us stocked with drinks and bread until our food came. Our server... More

Some of the best pizza we've ever had. Cap rest salad was also good, as were desserts. Don't expect 5-star service... His place is pretty laid back.

I would not recommend this place. The food was ok nothing special. The entrees did not come with anything except a small basket of sliced hard bread and the olive oil was nasty - must have been the cheapest they could find. I would not go back.

What a great find this little place was. It is located in the corner of a little strip mall that also houses a chain style Italian restaurant. Guess which one the locals choose? They only have about fifteen tables but there is a constant turnover of customers so no one waited too long. If one thinks the wait might be... More

Looked for something close to hotel on a cool, rainy night and are we glad we found this neighborhood gem, apparently family owned and operated. We had the special of veal with home made pasta in a great tomato based sauce-very, very good.we're only sorry we didn't try the pizza. Very friendly service and attention by the owners.

Don't let the name deceive you. While there is a huge fan club for this pizza using the best olive oil, the finest imported cheese and earthy flour, the entrees reminded us of a perfectly prepared meal in a bistro in Porto Fino. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection. the clams were local and the meal sizes were... More
