Worth the stop.

Forget about the calorie count for this visit! It was worth every delicious bite. Although I only had just a coffee and a peanut butter bar, I'm sure every tasty item that passed over that counter was awesome. This is a nice little eatery in Old Village, right near the authentic old time pharmacy. Excellent salads and wonderful sandwiches, and the breakfast menu looked great, too. Nice ambiance...not your average bakery. Here's a tip... Take out your order and drive up Pitt Street a mile or so until you reach a walking bridge. You'll see some benches where... More

My mother and I were riding around looking at the area and we came upon this little gem. The chicken and mozzarella salad were both delicious. If we ever happen to be around again, we'd definitely stop again.

Cool little Cafe. Food was good... had an Eggplant Bisque + Half sandwich (without bread) on a bed of greens. WiFi advertised, but in actuality did not work. Comfortable, breezy (holes in walls were a bit drafty, so bundle up inside if you dine in cooler months). SaleebScore: Food: 8/10; Service: 8/10; Atmosphere: if you are crunchy: 9/10; a Republican:... More

Thanks for taking the time to review the Village Bakery. We will fix the wi-fi asap. Very sorry for the inconvenience with the connection. Hope you'll give us another try when you're back in the Mt. Pleasant area. Thanks. More

It's a lovely setting on an iconic street (parts of the Notebook were filmed here), but it's really in need of some sprucing up and the food preparers should really be wearing gloves after handling money.

A great selection of goodies as well as breakfast and lunch stuff---anything looked good and the goodies tasted as good as they look. Very friendly staff.

I am sure the Village Bakery is well know for the breads and deserts, but the breakfast and lunch are awesome as well.

This is a neat little place for lunch as well as other meals. We stopped by before an appointment down the street and thoroughly enjoyed. It's a pretty simple place and a bit of DIY service, but that was fine with us. We had a wonderful and filling roast beef sandwich and super salad. Pleasant place with lots of locals... More
